  1. Wind picking up here. Heavy snow. 16 degrees.
  2. This is a great storm. Loving the cold temps with the heavy snow.
  3. You've been discounting the sleet since this all started and guess what, it's going to sleet. I think there's only one poster who said this wouldn't be a significant storm for NYC. Great storm for all and an even better storm inland and up in New England.
  4. You'll see a huge one in Brooklyn at some point. Maybe even this winter.
  5. Gotta love sleet mixing in when it's 12 degrees

  7. 6/-15 in Boston right now as they await 18"+
  8. Trenton just updated. Started snowing as of 4am.
  9. Snowing in Belmar and Toms River but not Morristown or even Trenton yet
  10. Use pivotal. You can just click on the map where you're located. https://www.pivotalweather.com/model.php?m=nam&p=ref1km_ptype&rh=2026012418&fh=3&r=us_ne&dpdt=&mc= Also, here's a sounding. I think I clicked closer to High Point.
  11. Using NYC as a reference point, there will be a couple hours of light snow, followed by a couple hours of moderate snow. Then there will be a big thump between 12 and about 6(ish)pm before any mxing. I think 8-12" is a good forecast. I wouldn't be surprised if there was a little more if it snows at 2-3" an hour for a couple hours. With that said, it also wouldn't completely shock me if it mixed earlier. Usually I would think the NAM would be spot on with the mid-levels. I think it's too aggressive in this case. I kind of like the idea of a thump then nyc turns to sleet for a couple hours then precip shuts off completely or there's some freezing drizzle.
  12. New York City 10 Boston 17 Philadelphia 6.5 DC 6 Hartford 16 Albany 18
  13. At least I didn't suspend Franklin this time by accident
  14. New Orleans picked up a foot last year lol
