Snowcover is brutal too. I can’t pinpoint one reason why the area is so bad, it’s just a combination of things. Not to say they can’t get a good storm there , because they certainly can and have.
It’s an awful awful area for snow. They get screwed every way possible whether it’s proximity to ocean , downsloping or sucker holed. They avg in the mid 30’s or so. It’s actually a medium sized city
If gonna do BTV, get up and in. I’d not choose coastal Maine due to cold ocean, days of fog and cool in summer and horrific springs. Too many bad weather days from Napril - August. Near or north of North Conway would be the spot
I’m going to go ahead and assume you’re drinking this morning. This can’t be real. Their climo is awful. Barely ever snows there synoptically. They get flurries for days and every coastal warm sectors them. I can’t count the number of times we are S+ and 19 and it’s 55 and partly sunny there as the primary cuts west of them
I declare today best lawn day of the year. It’s all downhill from here . It’s typically May 20, but 10 days late this year due to the cold Napril before summer took over this month.
I just noticed that. And short sleeves in upper 30’s with ripping wind. There’s a barracks here in town. All those cops you see pulling over NY/NJ folks between Tolland and Union are from there. They love pulling them over . Don’t have our own PD
