Damn. Watching the storm unfold and seeing those totals come out of the NE really brought out the weenie. Can't wait for our first big storm!

Freezing rain at the house when I left. Looks like 33 and rain here in South Asheville.

Down to 33 here. EDIT: Down to 32 5 minutes later at my station. The HRRR looks to be coming in colder as well. I see more snow on the map.

No bueno. That small icing event we had in 2019 brought down one of my favorite trees in the yard. It was barely even .2

Picked up here. I'd say 45mph gusts. Power is flashing on and off.

Looks like east of Asheville will be getting the flooding rains. Steady rain here, but nothing torrential. A little over 2 inches since yesterday.
