  1. Precip moving in on the NAM around 1AM Sunday, AVL is at 28/25 by 4AM at 25/23
  2. Was reading back through the thread leading up to the 12/2018 storm... Good times! It went from "bad trends on the EURO today folks" to everyone getting 12+ inches...
  3. Mean is 14in for KAVL: https://www.emc.ncep.noaa.gov/users/meg/gefs_plumes/index.html?stationname=KAVL
  4. SREF Plumes up to 8.5 for AVL https://www.spc.noaa.gov/exper/sref/srefplumes/ Also, those gusts during the storm on 6z EURO aren't playing around. Going to be some power outages for sure.
  5. Took the day off so I could nerd out - damn this hobby!
  6. I like how the NAM is showing some snow showers starting tomorrow early afternoon. A little teaser for what's to come!
  7. AVL SREF Plumes showing 7.5 mean - not bad! https://www.spc.noaa.gov/exper/sref/srefplumes/
  8. Hell yeah. I’m most excited about it being a prolonged event on a Sunday. Perfect day to just sit back, relax and watch things play out.
  9. Not a lot of changes. Good runs overnight! We’re still looking at a major winter storm. Don’t start cliff diving if the models show less that 12in
  10. The best forecasted storms always shape up to be historic or the bust of a lifetime. This is what's fun!
  11. Yeah, the last couple of years have been dreadful. Hope we can reel this in.
  12. Is GSP going to go with a blizzard watch?? (Joke!)
  13. Classic. Although, I wouldn't call 8-12in a snow hole
  14. Shows that during the height of it winds will be gusting 20-30+ mph... Phew!
  15. You know it's serious when Pivotal starts going down
  16. TWC is getting kind of wild with my forecast Saturday Night: Snow showers early, with a steadier snow developing late at night. Some sleet or freezing rain possible. Low 22F. Winds ESE at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of snow 90%. Snow accumulating 3 to 5 inches. Sunday: Periods of snow. High 29F. Winds ESE at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of snow 100%. Snow accumulating 8 to 12 inches. Sunday Night: Snow in the evening will give way to mostly cloudy conditions overnight. Low near 25F. Winds NNW at 15 to 25 mph. Chance of snow 80%. Snowfall around one inch. Higher wind gusts possible.
  17. Measured 15in IMBY during that one. Unreal experience. Couldn't leave the house for 4 days, haha.
  18. I'm headed out after my meeting at 1PM. Hopefully Tractor Supply's tank still has some in it
