  1. No it’s definitely colder. Precip looks good too. Don’t see how this isn’t a better run for the majority in this sub forum.
  2. NAM hasn’t run yet on TT. Is that a TT only issues or is the NAM having issues? Perhaps James is currently manipulating it to give him the Thursday snowstorm he wants so badly?
  3. Going to the berkshires for a weekend getaway this weekend. Last year it was 0F. This year I might be able to pack a pair of shorts. Sheesh. Hopefully the rain can stay to a minimum.
  4. All snow now. Coming down nicely. Temp dropped to 36.
  5. 80/20 rain snow mix here. Forgot to check the ole thermometer .. it’s a balmy 38 out bleh
  6. Man that LI stuff is so close to me. Cmon little storm you can do it
  7. Not sure if he is comparing it to 12z? But every six hours it goes out to hour 33. So 18z is the most recent extended range HRRR. It also keep DC in the 40s and rain so I would take it with a grain of salt.
  8. 3k looks solid for SE areas. Let’s keep the trend going. Edit: Though useless the extended HRRR has snow through all of CT at the end of its run. Sweet.
  9. Probably more accurate than looking at the GFS at the very least.
  10. UI is backed up beyond belief right now with fiber companies trying to hook up to our poles. The backlog for a new company to hook up at this point can be measured in years , and they are already beginning to weigh down our poles that weren’t designed to handle all these cables in the first place. I certainly get why people want fiber though, that’s a good deal overall. Worst part is if a pole collapses during a storm you now not need just UI, but you also need all 8-10 fiber companies to come and put their lines back up before the pole can be deemed clear. LOL. sorry anyways back to weather..
  11. Well it is comforting to know that no matter how bad we get screwed, the New London area always gets screwed even worse.
  12. Was really enjoying this thread until you came along and had to post this..
  13. 2010-2011 was the most memorable winter of my life. . I was going to quinnipiac at the time and it was just snow storm after snowstorm. Biggest pack I’ve ever had, was able to even build igloos big enough to have friends in them for college drinking shenanigans. Good times..
  14. Hopefully this will be a little more exciting than last year squall.
  15. Nice solid bow echo in NJ loll where is this during the summertime..
  16. 2 inches of snow up in Norfolk from the squall per Ryan’s twitter page.
  17. Yep anything not touched by the sun is still completely encased in ice.
  18. Those are old numbers (7am) BPT reported .40 Few hours ago
  19. Im in Milford CT, haven’t been out since 1230 but main roads were ok then.
  20. Definitely a solid glaze of ice on everything , I’m not measuring but nearby Bridgeport Ct reported .40 so I’m guessing we are definitely over .25 No outages at all to report in the UI territory though thankfully
  21. Could see inland coastal CT getting up to .5, while those like me along the coast sit at 32.8F after a tenth of an inch or so of ice junk.
  22. Nyc folks jumping off the Brooklyn bridge if that verified (which it won’t). Gfs , or should I say FV3, seems to like to create these fantasy snowicanes every so often.
