    6z GFS is the look you would want to try and bring a hurricane near here..but ya it’s in fantasyland.

    This is going to be a really tricky forecast for the SE. Hurricanes can do some real funky things when they are as close to each other as these models depict. The difference between the GFS and CMC shows this.

    My problem has been lanternflies. I unfortunately found out we have a tree of heaven in our backyard. Those bastards are everywhere.

    Man I do wish my block island vacation was a few weeks earlier, the surf should be awesome next week. Hurricane Lee brought some good waves a few years back but I imagine these will be more significant.

    This is what you want for a land falling hurricane in the NE

    It doesnt matter. There is no high to block its stage right exit and there is no upper level low sitting over the southeast US to slingshot it towards NE.

    No smoke, no humidity. Just a 10/10 day out there.

    Dews that low though? I thought when it’s near 100F we are just roasting with dew points in the upper 60s instead of the dreadful mid 70s lol

    Assuming it’s wrong , but on Tuesday the EURO shows temps in the mid to upper 90s but with dewpoints barely in the 50s. Don’t see that around here much..

    Still some but the moon is fully visible and the blue sky came back right before the sun set.

    Not much in the way of sun today, but giving the AC a rest is awesome. Monday looks like the peak of the week, highs in the mid-upper 80s but dews in the 50s. Full on COC

    Models seem to like two areas for the larger rain amounts. One in the northern Hudson valley/berkshires area and the other NYC on south. Will see if that’s what actually happens!
