low of 47, high of 74. Winds are picking up but has only hit a high of 17 mph so far.
Oh it's heading your way. Two of my Adirondack chairs just blew across the deck and broke and the corrogated metal roof on my chicken coop just pulled loose.

Traffic maps are quickly going red all over Winston and North on 52.
My nieces husband would be one of those unfortunately. His car is totaled.

30° here in Stokes. Husband has already slid twice less than a mile from our house and multiple accidents reported in Winston-Salem. Business 40 westbound at a complete standstill.
Actually temp just dropped to 29°

Only ended up with a dusting here in Southern Stokes County.

Seeing some mPING reports of mixed precipitation in Surry, Stokes, Yadkin, and Forsyth Counties.
I can confirm this as I'm in Stokes and there are occasional flakes mixed with the rain here near Danbury.

They have 24/7 access to the coastal/orchard grass during the growing season and 24/7 access to a round bale in the fall/winter. They absolutely love peppermints too
Thanks! Mine love peppermints, Granny Smith apples and the German muffins for horses (it's rare I buy those though because they are so expensive).
Thanks for the advice on what to plant. We are still pretty new to donkeys.

The only issue is your “natural” style lawn is clearly doing much better than mine
Have you ever planted rye in the winter? My yard used to look like that in the winter. This year we planted rye in the fall. Our fenced in backyard used to look like the field. In the summer we will plant more Bermuda. I know people hate Bermuda but we had it at our old house and loved it. It thrives in heat and is low maintenance.

I feed the donkeys coastal/orchard mix (easy to get the round bales in winter) and they each get a small scoop of horse compete twice a day.
Edit to say: donkeys are like horses when feeding. They should eat 1lb of forage for every 100 lbs of weight. Plus supplements.Do you keep yours on a dry lot or can they forage freely 24/7?

This is probably a long shot but do any of you have donkeys? We need to seed our pasture and I have no clue what to plant or where to buy the seed. Donkeys can gain weight quickly and weight gain can kill them so I am trying to find people that have donkeys and hear what they use.

We are up to 33.1 and the ice is melting but the trees are still weighted down a bit. Our power just went off and on twice a few minutes ago.

Up to 33° here and looks like it's probably over according to radar.

So will the rain lower temps at all? Or is that cold air from the north still supposed to push down? Wondering if I can dump all of this water out that I've put in jugs all over the place (we are on a well so when we lose power, we lose water). My temp is now up to 36.

30.7/22.5 dropping quick now. Clear skies predominantly out there still. Could end up dropping under the forecasted temps.
They keep lowering our forecasted low. Showing a low of 23 now.

Same right here in Oconee County. This county is unlike any other in the Upstate and I concur that DP is the one of the main reasons we are snowless. I need to see if any research has been done on this subject regarding Reactors and Weather? Of course, I am a newbee and there are probably many other valid reasons for our snowless county.
I spoke too soon. Temp is dropping pretty fast now. 34/23 now.
