Eh I like March in general. Transitional month. Back and forth. Sometimes we get snow but not lately. In general I prefer March and April to be more on the cool side like Fall(my favorite season). Relentless warm/hot and humid will come soon enough, and typically lasts 5+ months.

Now that we move the clocks in early March, the month is much better. Last year we didn’t get hot/humid till late June. That was a great spring.

    March has no charm.

March is good if there is snow but otherwise its time for spring to come alive. Already starting to see early blooms.  The longer days are great. This month has been odd since there literally has been nothing to track.

Can we just fast forward to summer. I hate mid march to may the most. At least by summer…days start getting shorter

Spring is the best with the longer daylight and before the heat of the summer. Enjoy the seasonal changes. Each one has its own charms.

This winter reminds me a lot of 1977 when we had a couple moderate snows adding up to 8-10" then extended cold and dry.  Long cold spell with snowcover, but disappointing in snowfall amount.  Now I am rooting for a warm early spring

Agree, been a long winter.  Rooting for a nice long spring.

Remarkable the amounts of snow in VA. Without question the Southern areas did well this winter.

Despite a -5.25 SD AO our area did not get the worse of the recent cold, snowy winter weather,  but nation-wide it was much more severe in Tenn. Valley, Plains, and the areas well South of us. The white out in VA. and other areas was crazy earlier this week. The depth of the arctic air mass via the severe AO was amazing in the Midwest, and in the Plains.

The long range control model and other model snowfall ensembles as usual did a shit show with tons of snow over the Northern Mid-Atlantic. Seasonal tendency won out mostly. We are lucky we got what we did.

Areas of Florida had more snow this season than Philly. That was on the local ABC network news last night.

Florida was due, those folks have been in a snow hole for a long time.  Glad they finally cashed in.

But ya know what, it’s a free country still, I think… so ya can feel however you want. Me, I’m enjoying every flake I can get. I don’t care what time of year.  Is all snow and it’s going to melt no matter when it falls.

I’m good with March snow but there is nothing worse than a cold April. Nothing good comes of it.  Bring on the warmer temps.

I don't doubt.  We do cold and windy Marches really good down here.  Unfortunately cold in March usually means 40s and sun...looks great through my windows until I step outside.

Cold springs are the worst. If we get snow in the next couple of weeks OK but otherwise Looking forward to warmer weather and longer daylight.

Yeah I started to notice that subconscious acknowledgment of light after 5:00 p.m. and it really does make me start to want springtime...

But I also still want snow LOL.

Days getting longer. Once we change the clocks it’ll be light till after 7 and I’ll be ready for spring.

From now on, any mention of Feb 2025 will have that same feeling of dread that comes up when anyone brings up March 2001, December 2010 or March 2013.

The models lost this storm five days out, not the same as getting the carpet pulled out from under us in March 01

once you hit the JB ensemble.....it means you are on your last resort. I think at Accuweather, they used to edit is grammar...now its just a disaster as i noticed when i read his posts today.

I havent read him in a long time but its hilarious he still uses feedback when things dont go his way. JB is a great met in snowy winters. Lets hope you and him have the right idea

Always feedback Every 6 years he gets it right

Dover to Delaware beaches have consistently done better last decade. Odd that beach areas 100 miles to my south constantly beat I-95.

Its been really odd. Its been awhile since we've had a storm where NW crew does good and the southern areas mix/rain.

agree- we need the classic coastal storm that turns to rain along the beaches up to Dover.

Ended with 3.3 inches in Newark Delaware. More than I expected. Finally, not a bust.

Seems areas just to the south didn't do quite as well. Like Havre De Grace. My guess is around 9pm we held on to that steadier band for a bit longer. Probably made the difference.

    Dover got 7.5

  13. The 2 turnovers completely changed the complexion of the game. Gave the Eagles 14 points.  This Eagles team is much better than the one that beat the Pats and the one that lost to KC 2 years ago.  Howie Roseman should have been MVP.

North trend hasn't happened in years, it feels like...at least not since 2019. Last month there was one modeled but that banding materialized way north, smh

I guess I ought just set my expectation at 3-5"?

Enjoy what you get, rain on Thu could wash it away.
