  1. I’ve lived in ASH for 12 years now and can confirm with absolute certainty that this area blows for everything weather wise except for heat. We do that well.
  2. Oh I have many snow storms that rival or exceed 78 in terms of snowfall. But the closest I’ve come from a snow and wind perspective is January 2005. We’ll never see another 78 because we won’t have the mass societal impacts because 78 happened.
  3. i love the smell of subsidence during a blizzard. This storm will be forgotten by Wednesday. Not even top 100 for me. Congrats again to those receiving their ‘78 storm. I’ll never get to experience one of those.
  4. Blew my mind yesterday when GYX increased our forecast.
  5. Look at the ripple in the atmosphere ripping across Lake Ontario
  6. At least there will be a cool satellite image in a few minutes
  7. Nope. Need mother nature to shut off the snow. Melt it all. Dry it out that way April 1 we’re good to go.
  8. Congrats to the January 2022 crew again. I’m out. Talk to y’all in a week when you get power back.
  9. GYX just increased our forecast total?!?! (From 13” to 15”)
  10. If southeast Mass gets 2-3’ from a coastal that passes over or inside the BM and I get less than a foot then this storm can pound sand. January 2022 all over again.
  11. Why am I still skeptical? Of winds… no. Of prolific snow…. Yeah a little. It’s just odd that thing wraps up of ACY… much prefer if that Y was a K.
  12. One thing I have noticed about our big dogs is that they tend to sneak up on us in the 48-72 hours window (likely because the energy is finally sampled) and QPF tends to continuously increase up until go time.
  13. I mean if this verifies then I'd rather not honestly.
  14. Another 20" and we finally get to an above normal season for first time in 7 years.
  15. This is true.... suppose could look at this as a positive outcome.
  16. One of these things is not like the other. Expected - 7". P&C: 8-14".
  17. My memory: With 36-48 hours to go it looked like a regional burial: 1-3' for all. 2' for us. But then model guidance began honing in on smoking only 128 and points southeast. Think we ended up with like 12" of sand.
