  1. Here’s a snipit from ctp disco this morning: We will certainly increase our messaging on the severe threats. Thinking locally is that there also may be an equal tor risk all across our srn tier than what is presented in the SPC guidance early this morning.
  2. Agreed. I have cocorahs sites at all 3 of my courses. I also have one next to my official 8” gauge at the house and they’re usually within a few hundreds of each other. Weather your way website has a 5 dollar discount on that rain gauge for the month of march.
  3. I came from his blog as well. Sorry @Blizzard92
  4. Tried changing cups this morning at one of the courses and the first 3” were good but hit a solid frozen layer below.
  5. Not everyone can take a joke or take criticism without taking it personal. It’s just a weather board here
  6. wild ride here. heavy rain, hail, lightning, blowing fog, tree limbs down on the road, all with snow still on the ground
  7. Storm summary for yesterday: 1.8” snow 0.4” IP .10” ZR 0.66” liquid On a sad note there was a fatal car accident on Cold Springs Rd this morning. I’m sure it was icy and foggy up there at an elevation of 1600ft. Still only 31.9 currently
  8. Lancaster hit hard on that run. Long way to go with this one. Once all the pieces of energy are over the lower 48 is when I have better faith in the models.
  9. 2.2” was my final. 31 now with freezing rain
  10. Heading out to plow now. 1.6” when I left about 10 min ago
  11. 7a obs I had 2.4” of snow from 0.20” liquid. Still snowing lightly. never went to bed. Doing my plowing obligations in Cashtown, Carroll Valley, and Harney MD area. Starting to feel it
  12. I saw the Harrisburg Coop reported 1.5" for that event. CTP doesn't have direct control of the FAA observers at airports. These observers usually don't carry the weather passion as us here and that does affect the accuracy. CTP can make corrections if needed but usually don't like getting involved unless it's a blatant error.
  13. Good luck everybody! .5” here light snow and 26 degrees
  14. Shows winners and losers. .40” western Adams isn’t too bad
  15. Do any other models support this idea yet ?
  16. Trending toward a later start on Tuesday with bulk falling overnight will help
  17. Most comes Tuesday night into Wednesday. Adams grids show 2-4” Tuesday night and 1-2” Wed. Just updated. There’s hope
  18. Agreed seems low. I managed .3” of sleet and I was on the edge of the heavier precip. Let’s see if they adjust first. Maybe the decimal point was put in the wrong place ?!
