    7a obs I had 2.4” of snow from 0.20” liquid. Still snowing lightly. never went to bed. Doing my plowing obligations in Cashtown, Carroll Valley, and Harney MD area. Starting to feel it

    I saw the Harrisburg Coop reported 1.5" for that event. CTP doesn't have direct control of the FAA observers at airports. These observers usually don't carry the weather passion as us here and that does affect the accuracy. CTP can make corrections if needed but usually don't like getting involved unless it's a blatant error.

    Trending toward a later start on Tuesday with bulk falling overnight will help

    Agreed seems low. I managed .3” of sleet and I was on the edge of the heavier precip. Let’s see if they adjust first. Maybe the decimal point was put in the wrong place ?!

    Storm is just coming on the coast now. Better sampling next couple runs of the models. Hopefully this leads to the north shift we need

    For my area there was a few hours of IP which accumulated 0.3” if that helps. Had .51” liquid at 7am

    Government will start making its own forecast. In all seriousness, I’m concerned with the coop observer program.

    I think this banter thread is a good idea. It’s nice to have a dedicated thread of only Weather discussion on a website that is intended for such use. Unfortunately, it will not work if the top posters do not separate their banter and weather related post as they account for a high percentage of the conversation.

    I hit -9 for a low at the house. On the road this morn for a meeting in York county and lowest car temp I saw was -10 through the town of Railroad.

    Windber reported a 30” snow depth yesterday. Deep winter

    Grampian hit -14 going off their coop report. Had to look that town up, it’s in Clearfield County by you
