Looks like about an inch and a half here in columbus, coming down nicely. Should be a nice little event.
What's wxsphere...?

The gfs gives me 18 inches over the next 384 hours. Can we lock that in?

Have a good trip!
I was in the carribean for the pre-Christmas snow. Maybe THAT'S what we need to get snow around here -- for someone to go to the carribean...
I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much for the next couple of systems. Without much cold air around, they look like typical thread-the-needle situations. Too flat and we get nothing; too wound up and we rain. Hopefully we can hit the sweet spot with at least one of them...

Well, don't look now, but the latest Euro and Canadian both give us a couple inches this Sunday. Apparently, all we needed was for HighTechEE to put his snow blower away...

Well, I guess it's been 72 hrs. Barring any last minute shift to a deeper, more negatively-tilted trough, this looks like a glorified frontal passage with advisory snow overnight Friday into Saturday. Considering it's March.....yawn.
Yup...

Yeah, gfs came to its senses a little bit -- it's back to an inch or two this weekend...
-
Yeah, I know we're not gonna get 10 inches...
But after this dismal winter, I'm desperate to latch onto any glimmer of hope, no matter how dim or remote...

Hellloooo! Anyone here?
I imagine everyone's already in spring mode, but some of the models are suggesting one last winter hurrah this weekend. Not sure I buy it yet, but could be a quick hit of heavy snow Friday night/Saturday. Latest gfs shows 10 inches for Columbus :). I know, I know...

Meanwhile, the Thursday/Friday storm is looking like a complete crapfest...
Freezing rain/rain/dry slot -- the trifecta of crappy weather!

Yeah, not feeling great about this one...
-
Well don't look now, but the GFS, Canadian, and (for what it's worth) the ICON all give us snow next thurs/Friday. Euro says rain.
Just when I think I'm out, they pull me back in...

Euro came SE too, but still doesn't really give us much if anything

I'd say excluding the off chance the storm next week shifts se significantly, or a clipper, stick a fork in this winter, it's done.
Yeah, it's not looking good...

Idk what your using that only goes to 192. Get rid of that.https://weather.cod.edu/forecast/
Tho even when you go out to 384 hrs, there's still not much to see...

Deja vu the end of next week on the 12z gfs...

Well, I thought this was finally gonna be the one to put cmh over 6 inches for the first time in years. But alas...
A little disappointed in the final result for mby, but still a fun one to track. My take-away: don't underestimate the NAM when it come to p-type issues. It has a knack for sniffing out those thermal layers...
-
Finally seems to be going back to snow here. Hopefully for good this time...

Just went out. I'd guess 6" to 6.5 with the sleet. But it's just blowing everywhere so hard to get any kind of measurement. I have a better spot to measure protected by the wind, but I'm not walking out there tonight.
Congrats!

Sucks guys. Based on being just a county north of you, I feel extremely lucky now. There is just like a bubble of warm air over you. Has to be. The worst part is every radar has you guys in snow.
I'm not sure I want to know the answer... but how much have you gotten?

Some 2"/hr stuff coming through cmh now.
Still sleet here. 4 miles from cmh.

I'm only a couple miles from the airport, and I didn't do a real measurement, but eyeballing it, it looks like 2.5 or 3 inches to me.
Things look to be quickly winding down. A nice little event.
On to wednesday!
