Thank you, Toronto. Finally a game 7. Pulling for Nash and Vegas to move those series to a game 7. Firm believer in series going 6 minimum, the more hockey, the better.

Boston: 0/6 in their last Game 7s, haven't won a Game 7 since 2012-13 (against Toronto that they almost blew a 3-1 lead)

Toronto:0/6 in their last winner take all games (2020 Bubble playoffs they lost in Game 5 in the prelim round), haven't won a Game 7 since 2003-04.

The moveable object versus the resistible force.

  2. Juan Soto "I didn't like Kremer's shuffle, I bet he didn't like the homer either". You lost. Shut up. As if the Yankees could get anymore insufferable.

  3. I'll say it again: The Blues would have been the 8 seed in the East, yet missed the playoffs by 6 points in the West. The Caps really had no business in the playoffs.

  4. This feels like Game 162 of 2011 all over again.

    Caps win - in

Caps lose (in any fashion) and Red Wings win - Detroit in

Caps and Detroit loses and Penguins win - Pittsburgh in

Then there's Philly. Philly has to beat the Caps in regulation, and hope the Pens and Wings lose in regulation. Philly is in on the FIFTH tiebreaker.

Was at the game last night. Kreamer was awful

Was there yesterday too. Beautiful day for a game. Thought the stadium moved to Little Italy with all the meatballs being served.

    Cowser is still hot!

Cowser is to Boston what Mountcastle is to Toronto. Also Boston's starters are legit. That bullpen though, different story.

Lol. That would be one way to end the season.

During their 6 game losing streak and even last night they have been out shot badly.

Just not generating enough offensive chances. Hard to win games with only 6 to 8 shots on goal  per period.

Last 4 games are tough too. Buffalo, Tampa, Boston, Philly. Also a -40 goal difference? That would be one of the worst for a playoff team ever. (Meanwhile the Blues are out of the playoffs in the West and would be in the 2nd WC in the East)

April showers have arrived in the Mid-Atlantic, but it is rather obvious that they will not produce any measurable snow.  So, it is time to award the 2023-24 Championship Trophy to Kmlwx. He was the second entrant on the day that the contest opened on 11-1-2023, but his "shot in the dark" hit the bullseye, as he accurately forecast not only another quiet snow season in the Mid-Atlantic, but also nailed the wide disparity between the snow total at Richmond and BWI/Dulles. RickinBaltimore would have walked away with the trophy if RIC were excluded, but he labored under the illusion that the airport is still located in Virginia, having missed the news that it was recently relocated to Richmond County, Georgia  . . .  Okay, that's an April Fool's joke, but it does seem that way regarding snow.

So, congratulations to Kmlwx, and the rest of us will try again this November.6877414_image.jpeg.b4a33b7b69d605d2e0b4792fb1f7b61d1.jpg.ce4a68633e67f77977f21c86695f15c6.jpg

I will gladly take a spot on the podium in 2nd.

Would place my money on Baltimore and NE having the better shot at flooding. They're quite saturated.

Definitely having flooding issues here. North Point Road by Kane and Erdman already flooded out, there was a water rescue there from a vehicle trapped.

Stuff that is sitting in baltimore will be unloaded and trucked/trained to another port. Stuff that is sitting in the bay waiting to unload will be redirected to another port. Sure, there will be delays but its not hair on fire. Unloading all the stuck cargo should keep most people employed until they can reopen the channel.

Reopening 695 will take the longest but therea the tunnels and the west side of 695. Again, inconvenient but not end of the world.

New span will most likely be a suspension design with the tower supports far away from the deep main channel such that any large ship would run aground prior to impact.

If you want to show anything for those that perished in this disaster.. SLOW DOWN the next time you are driving through a work zone.

That last part even more so. Remember some workers lost their lives last year when they were hit on 695 by people going over 100

  11. From where I live, I could see the Key Bridge on a clear day. It's so fortunate that the mayday call went out prior to the bridge strike, and the bridge was shut down in time to prevent more loss of life. Hopefully those 6 workers that were on the bridge can be found.

The logistical nightmare from this is insane. The Port itself closed for weeks for shipping traffic, travel itself being redirected all around Baltimore for years due to the bridge reconstruction.
