18Z GFS-FV3 and NAM both showing major snowfalls (6" or more) for the interior (Poconos, Sussex/Warren/W. Passaic/Hudson Valley) and the Euro/GFS showing several inches. Very surprised we're not seeing more chatter about this - had a similar scenario for 11/15 - not synoptically, but outcome-wise, with models showing much more snow than the forecasts and the models being correct (although less model consensus this time).
It will be interesting in my area.

I checked the 240 gfs.
shows minimal snow in nw nj.
mountain creek has all snow guns blowing.
i am getting deeply truoubled of a no snow plow December.

Sorta shocked that our historic winter looks snow free for the next 2 weeks.
this takes us to the 15-18th.
going to need a blockbuster January to capture the big snow!!

Picked up 0.3 of snow overnight.
also caught a sonic boom at 1050 last night due to a propane explosion in Hardyston

Just saw MR G on tv.
he is really digging a big storm Tuesday & Wednesday next week.
mentioned to early for a call rain or snow etc.
his map had a mix for western nj into the Hudson valley.
he was pumped up!
