Nice! Is that your remote camera/webcam? Though if it was and it was snowing I'd have mixed feelings about not being up there!

    Hey Kamu!

Sadly, yes…Cabin is off-the-grid with minimal heat, so we need to shut it down for the winter, but I “live there” during snowstorms via my Starlink satellite internet, Blink cameras and Tempest weather station (-1.3° early Tuesday AM)!

Finished with 6” here. Not as good as it could’ve been but had to take one for the team so you guys could get your snow. R/S line crossed my area a few times so afternoon snow was mash potatoes. Did have thundersnow so that was a highlight. Dryslotted for a few hours with drizzle then flashed back to snow for the overnight. Most of the snow fell then. Sting was worse than the bite.

Probably the north side of Fundy did a lot better.  Several Maine sites near the NB border reported over a foot.

    Down East, Maine cabin:

Despite blizzard conditions not materializing, we did end up with ~12” (~20”ytd from 4 “significant” events…many dusting type events not included)!

I’m stuck down here in Bucks County, PA (at my winter home-base) with Extremely light flakes @ 12:45am...

Should have taken that 10 hour road-trip to my coastal Down East Maine cabin...I’ll have to live this storm through my cabin cams! :(

Ended up with ~10” but strong winds never materialized so no Blizzard conditions!

Solar, Snow-cameras and Tempest weather station worked perfectly...

Wish I could say the same for my Elon Musk’s Starlink satellite internet which experienced two major global failures today (each over an hour long) so I watched the snow fly between internet loss!

Retention on the Downeast coast is generally terrible (2014-15 excepted - Machias reached 74" that Feb.) so you can probably drive in and out with a 4WD SUV.  And pine wood is soft, easily cut with a chainsaw.  I don't think the board has ever had posts from Washington County.  Cool Spruce (:() was closest at Ellsworth.

    So I’ve heard...

Two biggest issues are the 9 mile (one way in/one way out) dense forest road leading to our place, most of which is dirt with several steep hills, and, moreover, no running water once we blow out plumbing to protect against freeze up since house sits on pilings!

With my cameras and Tempest weather station, I’ll, at least, be able to post observations and rough snow accumulations!

Nice! Going up in the winter at all?

Wish we could...Besides the 6 month on/6 months off “deal” with my wife, we have to shut the plumbing down and the road in doesn’t get plowed down our way, and with all the tall pines, the risk of getting stranded is higher than she wants to deal with...I’ll have to “live it” via my cameras...Hopefully one upcoming winter we’ll “bend the rules”!?!

After years of searching, I’ve finally found (and purchased) my  dream cottage in Harrington, Maine!

It’s “off the grid” so now I need help finding the best solar cellular weather station and solar cellular security camera so I can keep tabs on things remotely when I’m not there!

Thank you for any thoughts you have!

Heading home a week from today after arriving mid-April ...It’s been everything and more than my wife and I expected!

Solar, Elon Musk’s Starlink Internet, Tempest and Blink cameras installed ready for some winter weather remote viewing!

Just south of last night’s aurora  borealis but we did have this beautiful Sundog this evening (just left of center)‼️

Yep, heavy stuff starts Saturday evening. Plan is to leave late tonight or tomorrow morning. Just at work now when I get home figuring everything out. Should be interesting. I also have a fear of air planes lol. Only been on one my entire life but screw it. Just hoping the light snow falling tonight doesn’t make flight become delayed. I might have to land outside and drive far

    Not to fear...

They usually reroute flights in to Denver to Tijuana Mexico‼️

Annoyingly this site doesn’t allow me to post the photos of my yard that I just took...

I’ll post them at PhillyWx if you want to see them...

My property has anywhere from very small green patches up to as much as 5” in shaded (untouched snow) areas‼️

Prolly need to downsize your pics, I've had to do that to get it within that 1.95mb limit per attachment.

    Works...Thanks‼️
