Steadier light rain now

Occasional sprinkle, nice breeze though. Beautiful overcast, nice hooded sweatshirt kind of day. I'll take this almost every day if I could.

I hope it misses Atlantic Canada too. Those folks have had enough bad luck.

One of the more impressive thunderstorms this evening. Amazing to me anyways for nearly mid September.

It will only take once. No A/C, no heat, all the food in the fridge goes bad. Having no electricity for a week (been there done that) is tough, after a week it's brutal.
Can't go eat somewhere, ATM's are down. At night nothing but a lantern and or flashlight, celI service goes down even if you have a charger it does no good. I learned the hard-way.
Extremes are what we post for. Some events shouldn't be hyped or wished for a hurricane is one of those extremes. Go chase one, experience the fury outside your hood then you'll understand. Can't compare a hurricane to a snowstorm.I could like this post a hundred times. Finally some reason! I have been through it with the October snowstorm of 2011 and I wouldn't wish the experience on anyone. There's plenty of reason to be a hobbyist just because one doesn't want to see destruction and suffering. I just don't get it.

This probably ticks east
Good. There's been enough misery for folks with flooding. Send it out to sea as there's no need for folks to be hurt.

Very meh. Not many reports at all given radar.
Radar velocities were very impressive off ALY/BOX but a lot of that was aloft and didn't mix down. Given the strong LLJ not surprised to see strong winds picked up aloft but am surprised we didn't see much in terms of damage.
It's fine the ground is soaked, the trees don't need any help in falling down.

Round 2...Make it stop

Just imagine for 1 minute you get a direct hit. House is leveled. I wouldn't want that for anyone!
Life and property when all is said and done should override the want of one.
I get it but...I agree with you but you can't tell him anything, just roots for damage damage damage

Can you believe some folks are still watering their lawns??!

Thankfully we have missed the worst of the rain but wow was it close. Still an easy inch for the day. What a lousy humid summer.

We've missed the heaviest stuff but ground is still super wet. Shrooms of different sizes and colors abound.

We’ve had close to 2 inches in Greenfield since yesterday.
Then the sun came out after I typed this. It was kind of a nice day overall. About .4 or so that's it. Just that this is the third time heavy rain has been forecast this past two months that never materialized. Still better than the horror show up north, I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy.

Non event here too. A period or two of Rain. So much for the calls for torrential downpours.

If this was a snowstorm I would be in the tub with a toaster

I love this kind of weather...the heat will be back within a month or so. It could be upper 30s to mid 40s with rain and drizzle so it could certainly be worse

Need a snow event like this but less qpf, the whole slow moving back building kind of thing and buries just about everyone region wide....18 to 30 area wide lollis to 40 or so for the usual spots like Taunton and NYC and Berks. Not a ton of wind and during the daytime so we get the best views
