I'm gonna agree with you on snowcover. I don't have nearly as many days as you but the number isn't terrible for the small amount of snow that's provided the cover.

It might be the famous blizzard of 66. I experienced it in upstate NY. Oswego with 100”. My campus got “only” 38.
That's it!! Is that the biggest snow you ever witnessed?

Windy windy windy!! That forecast definitely verified. Must have been a few gusts near 50 and lots 30-40. Impressive.

Non measurable dusting here

This was a great stretch both in 2014 and 2015. I need to think about the good ole days and get my mind off this other BS.
It blows my mind this streak in the metro Boston area but when you guys do northeasters right, you guys really do them right. I hope you guys get a good storm in the next month or so.

An inch and a half here on grassy surfaces. he's further south so could have close to 4.
Sometimes I rain when Chicopee or Ludlow snows.

This is why I’m actually happy that Greenfield didn’t even catch the fringes of this because it’s 36°. It just would’ve been white rain.
I think just about ten miles south of me has a foot. bdl only 15 miles from me as the crow flies

You have 4” in Springfield? Holy cut off. I’ve been as far south as Easthampton today and there’s nothing on the ground.
Yes. On grass and cold surfaces. I'm also only about two or three miles from the CT border as the crow flies

When I say there's often a big difference from BDL to here with these southern passing events I am not kidding

Last minute trend north judging by the radar
I am missing it by like five miles, you're a little bit closer if you're in Agawam

Well we were also playing Atari back then and listening to weather radios. Technology and modeling have advanced
Yes of course they've advanced but there's still room for error. Should be locked in across the board by now.

One of those was brutal for CNJ. I think Feb 87. Expected 12-18” the night before, schools closed (which was not an easy feat back then) and we woke to flurries while the jersey shore cashed in.
The one in Feb 89, buried ACY with 18 inches, I was just a teenager, will never forget

You don’t go from 12-18” to dim sun and no snow . It’s too close in. We are 12 hours away from snow starting
We did back in Feb 87 and Feb 89, I remember those Heartbreakers like it was yesterday. One big difference was we had man cold in place

I've seen this movie before. This will be a southern coastal plain storm with enough around here to be annoying

Same sentiment here. Happy for those south of the VT border finally cashing in, but just a bit to freshen things up would be nice. Seems like storms with the right airmass to get both a northern and southern NE hit is a thing of the past.
Be nice to see an old fashioned storm go from Hatteras to Gulf of Maine giving everyone from Virginia to northern Maine a good snowstorm and with a legit cold air mass in place. It has been so long.
