    Off topic from this coming storm...but was looking to get some ice fishing in tomorrow before the storm. Around me it seems only maybe Middle Branch reservoir has some safe ice...maybe a couple other spots? Anyone know of any spots with safe ice now given the cold weather past week or two? Thinking maybe some spots slightly further north than me (Dutchess, Ulster, Sullivan, etc.) may have a few more options

    NCEP GFS runs have been unusable for any run the past couple days....pages just won't load at all, or if they do, they take about 10 minutes. Is this due to a large volume of people trying to access it while it runs?

    Yeah...probably tons of them in the plains (Blizzard/Tornado)....but all three I would think to be extremely rare.
