    Yah man its just like last winter. Getting weeds early, nothing has changed. I'm gonna go ahead and throw in the towel on this winter, not happening. I don't like the new norm around here. Even the deep south gets more winter than us.

    Yes they are huge busts so far. I really don't see that changing, either. I'm just shaking my head at the 4 yr drought here, never seen the likes of this before.

    Barely got a dusting here in Cave Springs. I would still love to get a big snow, but I gotta say this winter is really disgusting me like the last 3, and thinking it's just time for spring. Tired of chasing models and hype and can't get diddly s*** anymore.

    Hey man, 4 straight winters without a snow > 1". Not many on here can say that. This place is cursed.

    If the mean trough position sticks in the east much of Feb into March that means dry NW flow here for the most part. We can then finish kissing off this winter as another dud at that point. If anything bad can happen here this winter it will, I'm convinced. Frustration folks.

    Yahh the nothing over 1 inch streak continues here. 4 yrs now. How long can it go man.

    If I'm not mistaken the Euro lead the way on last weekend's system.

    12z Gfs tries to close it off for a short while over N AR Saturday morning. System just not very strong.

    06z GFS hinting at some heavier deformation zone snows moving across part of the region Saturday. I'm hoping this is a good trend.

    I'm not sure it would push it further south, just maybe give more frozen due to quicker transition.

    The latest Euro must be dry slotting this region. Heavier snows are east of here.

    Wow, have to say that's the first I've heard of lake effect around here. Had it up in SW Mo some tho as Garfan mentioned.

    I'm feeling better about the long range. Models are strongly hinting at a change coming. I think winter is about to wake up!

    It is wasted, just like this winter already is. It will be spring before you know it.
