  1. No. Not a good look. Nothing good comes from Deutschland Uber Alles. Not even Ein Land. That's bad. Bad Anus.
  2. So, how much water equivalent is this going to spread out, and is a flood to ice jam situation possible?
  3. Some places south of Rte 22 may do better tonight than this weekend.
  4. TWC made it a point to address flash freeze last night. That is a real possibility. A lot of people going to see the storm subside midday and head out for Championship Sunday and struggle to make it home.
  5. Exactly the answer everybody knew. So, Horst is then issuing a prediction based off of climatology and not forecast guidance. I got interrupted by an Amber Alert last night, but it sounded like Joe Calhoun at WGAL was giving a similar opinion to that of Horst when he was doing a Facebook Live video, even to the point where he kinda went off on some guy who brought up the NWS. Models are just guidance. If that was all there was to weather, absolute dopes would be weathermen.
  6. Horst has based his entire prediction for this event on one thing: downstream blocking. And has that appeared anywhere?
  7. I was watching Joe Calhoun go live to discuss the storm, was interrupted by an Amber Alert and come back to Joe going off on some dude about the NWS. What I miss?
  8. WWA will likely be hoisted at 2 AM. WSW for Saturday/Sunday will likely go up at 2 AM Friday.
  9. They call it the GFS because its a Giant ****ing S***show.
  10. Is the GFS drunk? Has the shutdown finally affected the mainframe?
  11. Y'all think I'm this drunk and that just ain't true.
  12. EBT is closed except for I think a winter run the week after Thanksgiving. Rockhill Trolley Museum still functions a bit. Signed, Grew up in Orbisonia
  13. Now consider a snowpack for Monday night. Somebody going negative.
  14. I'm wondering if the I-81 corridor in Cumberland county is going to be where the precipitation type change occurs. Areas north and west of that line from Enola down to Greencastle stay frozen with a solid thump and areas south and east of there deal with a little more liquid. Daxx, would that be a close interpretation of the run?
  15. When was the last time places south and west of Pittsburgh got a decent snowfall? I always consider that part of the state to have similar weather to the rest of the Ohio Valley and never consider it to be much of a haven for heavy snow.
  16. I had to check myself yesterday after a bad day, but this happens with every major storm. Model prints out monsterous solution, waffles to minimal impact, and eventually comes around to close to the initial solution or exactly there. I am not saying this is going to be the case, but I'd be willing to bet (we can audit this via the old threads, my memory is fading anymore) that over the past three or so weekend blockbusters, Wednesday and Thursday were when the tide of rain was washed away. The Weather Channel in particular is seemingly going all-in on this one. I'll begin sounding the alarm if/when Horst comes around.
  17. Hasn't there been one 16-32 in each of the last three winters? Lol
  18. Thanks for posting that in 26pt font, so that us old facks can read. You really look out for us. That's why we used the hashtag #Anused. You get the job done when nobody else will. You really #Anused us there. And for that, I thank you.
  19. Nevermind. Twitter just fed me a 23 hour old "new post."
