Snow-to-Ice-to-Snow, best time to shovel is about an hour after the switch, assuming it's sleet. If it's freezing rain, you just accept that that is how you are going to die.

LOL, no sweat. I don't think it ultimately will be, but if we got a ton of rain and the river didn't crest right away with the little ice we have and a rapid freeze, it could be problematic.

TWC made it a point to address flash freeze last night. That is a real possibility. A lot of people going to see the storm subside midday and head out for Championship Sunday and struggle to make it home.

Exactly the answer everybody knew. So, Horst is then issuing a prediction based off of climatology and not forecast guidance. I got interrupted by an Amber Alert last night, but it sounded like Joe Calhoun at WGAL was giving a similar opinion to that of Horst when he was doing a Facebook Live video, even to the point where he kinda went off on some guy who brought up the NWS. Models are just guidance. If that was all there was to weather, absolute dopes would be weathermen.

Horst has based his entire prediction for this event on one thing: downstream blocking. And has that appeared anywhere?
