Homeowners almost never covers flood damage. You need a separate flood insurance policy.

Yeah. Homeowners rarely covers flooding like this. Same happened in Leominster last Sept. FEMA stepped up big time but it took a while. my sister is still assessing damage

Regarding the CT flooding. My sister in Oxford has been updating us. Her house is mostly ok. Some damage. Yard severely damaged. She and her husband own an RV they use for dog shows (they are professional handlers). It was at a garage and is probably a total loss.

Yeah. My sister and BIL live in Oxford CT. Their house has been flooded but they and their pets and the ones they kennel are safe.

My sister lives in Oxford, CT and has feet of water in her first floor/basement where she runs a business.
