  1. Super super rare. More likely to have a random tree branch break off and clunk you in the head than a bear attack
  2. I know grizzly bears can easily outpace even the fastest runners. I doubt our black bears get that fast but they can move quickly. In Massachusetts, black bear populations have increased by 8% per year since the 1970s. There are now over 4500 in the state
  3. The NJ bear attack had no cubs. It was just random from what I understand But they usually run the other way. We see them here from time to time
  4. One killed a guy in NJ a few years ago But they generally go after prey with meat on their bones. Hopefully you brought some tape just in case
  5. Down to 63 now. Might need to be closing windows.
  6. I do add some shipping tape to seal it off from bugs etc. that takes 30 seconds
  7. I don’t know if it is 3F off. Home stations around here were hitting 89-91F at similar elevation.
  8. Could be. Something like that happened a few years ago. Late April torch was the highest of the year.
  9. The cul de sac in my hood still has a nasty pile
  10. My friend a half a mile away has some piles left
  11. KFIT 93!!!! Back to back 90's in April Nice No one had this other than the KFS
  12. 85F at KFIT at their most recent hourly. 90 possible for them again.
  13. Yep. Already down 20F from my earlier high. Low dews Sorta like fake cold in reverse
  14. Agreed. Although for my work anything above 75 isn’t ideal.
  15. I saw one of our NWS Maine peeps mention it to iCyclone the other day on social media
  16. 91/41 at KFIT. I could do that all summer Tonight will be fine for sleeping
  17. KFIT at 91. I drove past there in Rte 2 and car thermo read 94 which is probably off but a good indicator. Looks like 87F for my daily high so far. Way above forecasts and all models other than the KFS.
  18. It’s not like it hasn’t snowed in early to mid April…or later. But good luck getting that to verify in this regime
  19. Still piles in my neighborhood. But 99.9% gone
  20. Euro isn't as cool as the GFS (0z run) but still not uber torchy. 50s to low 60s. Not bad
  21. Still some decent patches and piles in my neighborhood. We had a bunch of family over for Easter and they were surprised we still had snow (not on my property but very nearby)
  22. This morning I went to walk my dog. It was 28F or so (6AM). Saw something odd looking on the driveway. It was a (apparently dead) giant water bug. Weird time and place for it. I know it was dead since it was still there this afternoon. Huge fooker
  23. True. But that won’t be for a while. I usually put them in in mid to late May unless it looks like the devil is on its way
  24. I for sure will not be installing. 80/50 isn't nasty.
