Wow, nothing close to that around here.  They generally raise prices the minute oil goes up but are slow to drop when it goes down.

I live right next to the port of New Haven where all the heating oil comes in by ship. Its way cheaper here as the truck fills from the port a few miles away. They dont have to move it far.

I respect your opinion which is rooted from your personal experiences. As is mine. All I’m saying is that the 70s VT stoner culture is not a microcosm of the thc culture now. So, people need to adapt and have a broader understanding. It’s no longer the 4 buddies I knew who turned stoners and never amounted to anything....mentality.

This is spot on. Marijuana and CBD also have huge medicinal benefits as well. Its helping people with all types of health issues instead of taking powerful synthetic pharmaceuticals.

I have seen it first hand with a family member suffering and dying from cancer and marijuana was the only thing that worked on easing his suffering. All the other drugs made him extremely ill.

Also, the science behind thc now is really advanced. They have the entire molecular structure broken down and what the effects are associated with them. Its not like the old days of buying some random bud.  The effects of each strain are known. You can buy tested and chemical free bud that is good for sleep for example.

Here is a description from NETA in Northhampton of some of their buds.

It is kinda hard seeing that being real...though obviously stranger things have happened. However, the force of the winds to drive the car that high (though maybe there is a parking garage across the way...think the article mentions that?) would have had to be quite impressive at that location...impressive enough to where there would have likely been significant structural damage (like Scott said)...or at least significant roof damage...there is only a bit of roof damage.

Also, look at that railing...are you telling me the car JUST missed the railing and the railing is not broken? Plus looking closer...it doesn't even look like the car goes into the building at all

I read there is a parking level on the 3rd floor on the other side of the building and it might have just rolled back.

Happy first day of #MeteorologicalSpring ! Looking back at this past winter season (Dec - Feb), all of our climate sites had a top 10 warmest February and a top 10 warmest winter! Feb 2020 was also one of the least snowiest as Islip had the first snowless Feb on record!

If you run a line about 30 miles south of Binghamton and Albany to near the MAss/NH border to the south shore of Maine, to about 30 miles north of NYC and 20 miles north of the LI sound you've had a bad winter, but at least a storm or two or three. I had 12 inches from the December 2-3 storm and a grand total of 8.5 inches since. Anywhere south of that line you just haven't had anything worth even mentioning.

Yeah. I think since Dec 1st Bridgeport has had like 12 inches of rain and only 4 inches of snow.

There is like a mass emergence of insects here this morning. Swarms everywhere.

    I will wait for reviews

The project team has begun turning their prototype into the final product. Their ability to ship the products may be affected by product development or financial challenges

I saw on Facebook that they have to put that wording in on indiegogo. Its like some sort of required legal wording. Midea is the largest refrigeration company in the world. I doubt if you ordered one you wouldnt receive it. It looks like they may hit a million in backing soon. Their original goal was 200k.

  7. For those running window ac's this new design by Midea will save you alot of money. Especially with the high electric costs of New England. CT for example has the 3rd most expensive electricity with Hawaii and Alaska being number 1 and 2.

Standard windows ac's are fixed speed and use a ton of electricity. This one has an inverter like a mini split and the compressor can adjust its capacity based on the cooling load. Midea claims at its lowest speed it will draw less than 200 watts. Most windows units run at 5 times that. Its is also 9 times quieter than a regular ac.

    Cost per kwh.

    1. Hawaii      34.43
    2. Alaska      21.99
    3. Connecticut   20.8
    4. Massachusetts   20.6
    5. California   19.44
    6. New York   17.34
    7. New Hampshire 18.9
    8. Rhode Island   18.2
    9. Vermont   17.9

Washington state has the lowest electricity rate at 7 cents due to their huge amount of cheap hydroelectric. Hydro Quebec also has some of the lowest rates in the world as well.

Combination of temps and a newer home has done wonders for my heating expenses this year.

Topped of our 500 gallon propane tank end of March last year (80% is considered full, due to expansion etc etc). So this winter we started at 80%... currently sit at 50% remaining as we approach March... highly doubt we go lower than 40% by the end of the “heating” season.

Quick math based on what we’ve used and price we paid last March puts us at about 110$ a month to heat our home.... not bad

How old is the house? I dont think people realize how much you can save on energy costs with a modern airtight insulated home. You can also seal and insulate an older house pretty close to the same standards. I have solar but my house would cost me about $75-100 a month for heating in the winter if I had to buy the electricity.

Nope.... there is almost no disqualifying factors... marriage, moving out, etc etc.

It was a pretty good gig honestly.

I was prepared to have to come off in October when I got married... but both my wife and my insurance said it didn’t matter. We were good until 26

Thats crazy. I was kicked off my parents plan at 18 as soon as I graduated high school back in the 90s....

  10. Those of you in Massachusetts heating with oil or propane should look into Mass Saves insane $1600 per ton incentive mini split/heatpump fuel optimization program. They are basically paying for almost half the cost or more of installing a heat pump to offset fossil fuels. Massachusetts is currently ranked 1st in nation for their various alternative energy incentives.

Generous Fuel Optimization rebates are being offered to encourage the reduction of high CO2 heating fuels. Candidates must heat primarily with oil or propane, and install a qualifying central heat pump or mini-split heat pump with an approved integrated control.

Last time I went up there for three days it snowed the whole time we were there, only totalled 7-8 inches but was pretty cool. Moose fart snow.

Yeah. This place is such a weenie spot and there were flakes in the air all day yesterday. Looked it up and they average over 300 inches a year. I actually extended my stay untill tomorrow as we are going to get 1-3 tonight and tomorrow looks awesome for skiing.

6 lifts, 71 trails, and the highest base elevation in the Northeast (2100 ft). We average over 300″ of natural snow every year and our groomers are some of the best of the game.

Expect snow accumulations between a dusting to one
inch outside the mountains, with one to three inches across the
high terrain. Mild temperatures are expected Monday and Tuesday
with highs in the upper 30s to low 40s.

Buying a car is still kind of the worst though. Although, this experience wasn’t as bad as others.

was able to get money off the price and more for my trade with some negotiation... mostly done online.

Finance guy was kind of a dink after I declined all warranties they offer, (which were like half the price of the truck in some instances). My guess is a lot of the money he makes is tied to that

When we bought a new Subaru last year they tried to sneak nitrogen filled tires and vin etching on for like $800 on the final price. Both are an absolute scam if you look it up.
