Over 6" now just to the west, near ALB. Still pouring snow. Some of this should continue to rotate through to S. VT and N. MA.

Started as a few flurries late this morning, and didn't start picking up until after 1PM here in ENY. Snow's been moderate to heavy, at times, the past couple of hours. Probably a couple of inches out there now with temps in the low 20's.

Down this way, the Euro has had around an inch of precip almost every model run, with 12z increasing it further. If it busts towards the other guidance, it would be one of the more memorable Euro busts out here I have ever seen.

Those are similar to this area too. Incredible differences this close to gametime.

It does get captured later, but throws back much more precip back this way than any other model right now.

Same here. Over an inch of QPF by the Euro would suggest 1'+ here taken as is. The GFS would suggest 3" or so.

To a lesser extent, up here in ALB's area too possibly, but much less media here and nothing close to those amounts were forecasted up here outside of the Berks and Litchfield County, CT - ALB's red-headed step-child of a county

Yeah, lots of focus on NYC for bust potential, but its huge up this way too. We could fluff our way to double digits, or will count the flurries while a secondary mega band destroys just East of us in NE.

For you guys it makes no real big difference (outside of the Cape perhaps), and for down in NYC it would still be a somewhat decent storm, but man, for me back here...the Euro has me at over a foot and the NAM has me at almost zero...something has to give.

Remember those archaic weather chat rooms back then, haha. Just kept creeping north and north. Historic storm here in ENY, although due to NYC getting hosed, usually thought of as just a New England storm. I had close to two feet NW of Albany at the time. Storm started off a little slow, then we got stuck under a few very heavy bands of snow late evening and night. Rather long duration storm. Was actually surprised wind was less of a factor than anticiapted, at least out here...closer to the coast had strong winds. Most surreal aspect was national media talking as if the storm never happened while roads were near impassable near NYS' capital region.
