  1. I posted this in the MA forum. The GFS is undeniably moving the heaviest snows to the N&W over the last 4 runs as more sleet mixes in, and, as expected, moving into the camp of the other models.
  2. Idk if the GFS really held serve. While it's still putting down good snows for many, the trend is undeniably moving the bigger snows further to the NW with each of the last 4 runs. If this keeps up, it'll be squarely in the camp of the other models calling for a lot of QPF, but more like 5-10" of snow for the big cities, followed by a lot of sleet.
  3. Feels like we're getting closer to the event and model disagreement is increasing. smh...
  4. Hey, at least we're not talking about plain rain! As a kid I cannot tell you how many storms did not materialize, or finding the temperatures for 33° and a cold rain. Just thrilling.
  5. Stolen from MA thread, but AIFS is south... is our blind squirrel GFS boutta find an acorn?
  6. For shits and giggles, do you have the Kuchera map?
  7. Let's pray that doesn't verify if we are going to have any freezing rain. That could be a catastrophic outcome leading to extremely long-duration and widespread power outages.
  8. Well, it's 1.5" of sleet, so 0.5" qpf. But that could have easily been another 5-8" of snow down there.
  9. Great 0Z suite so far GFS 12-18", didn't see p-type issues... liking the model with the ingested hurricane hunter data UKMet 12-16" Canadian has a lot of sleet; 6-10" ICON 10-20" Let's see what Dr. No has to say later.
  10. This makes many folks happy from DC to Boston. But if the northern trend keeps up we are going to be feeling like the folks in VA/NC who were anticipating the a snow dome and are now having model agita.
  11. The GFS run looks great, 16-20". Once the hurricane hunters get some better data, it'll be very interesting to see if this holds. 5 days out in the bullseye hasn't always worked in the past! Fingers crossed.
