Look out south of LI. That band looks like the real deal. Lifting almost due north. Going to go up 91.

Looks like the Western half of CT gets the brunt of the current line near NY. There is a spin south of LI that I am watching lift north. That could be a windmaker for portions of central and eastern CT.

Everyone and their mother that we have talked to is super concerned about outages and flooding today. I don't think there is any hype here.

Not much to be excited about if you are coming in early for work at 3 AM into the studio, and need to assign and organize this storm coverage, LOL....

Our Mets, and local authorities in CT, are banging the drum extremely hard. They are very concerned. Eversource says widespread outages.

Driving into work tomorrow at 3 AM should be an experience.

ISO NEW ENGLAND Hi Jay, Thanks for reaching out. We are monitoring the storm and cold weather, but are not anticipating any issues at the transmission system level at this time. We are, and will continue to be, in close communication with the distribution companies, like Eversource, to understand what they’re seeing on their systems. If there are substantial outages on the distribution system, we will ask power plants to reduce their generation to ensure supply and demand remain balanced at the grid level. We’ll then call for increases in generation as distribution customers’ service is restored. Hope that helps,
