That's lame, your equation doesn't include dels, curls or differentials. I can help you there.
It also needs at least one factorial

I would take this over wildfires any day. We still have smoke drifting through.

I just bundled up and shot up the nest with a whole can. I’ll hit them again tomorrow to be sure. My hand isn’t too bad now, and nothing that this beer won’t cure!
From my bee keeping past, if one lands on you, simply blow it off. They think it is wind and do not react defensively. Just don't accidentally inhale it in the process.

I wonder what we’d have to sacrifice to get the kind of extreme cold and duration here next winter that compares to the heat in the west this summer?
Maybe suspended smoke from record wildfires?

To avoid working in the mud, I planted 9 rows of sweet corn before the rain Friday. However I now must wait to see what comes up because the 1.6"/hr rate may have washed away the seeds.

A cool spring is good for garden spinach, radishes, peas and even the dandelion leaves from your front yard if you are adventurous.

Still waiting for the return of the stink bugs. Haven't see one yet. Maybe nature has adapted. Can only hope.
I have seen an increase in assassin bugs and praying mantis which feed on stink bugs.

Hype > Disappointment
60 years old and whether it is watching weather (hurricanes or blizzards), sports, news, going to parties or concerts, even waking up and checking email, it is the rocket fuel that powers the motivation vehicles every day of my life. Give me crazy highs and horrible lows, spare me mediocrity please. Rather be excited about possibilities that never occur, than apathetic about anything.
Waiting for that giant beautiful perfect Cat 5 spinning in the Gulf of Mexico this year but never making landfall or knocking out anyone's power for more than a couple hours. Yet we all feel it from Texas to Key West and have big waves and personal stories to tell. Imagine the Hype > Disappointment while these forums and chasers go crazy with posts! Oh yea!
Bring it on, Hype first, then at the last minute Disappointment (and very sincere relief).

I could only faintly see the trees 100 ft away because of so much wind driven rain when looking out from my work building in Sparks Md. today during the tornado warning but did not see the funnel. The whole event lasted just a few minutes.

I went up there last week and it was like a war zone at about 1500 feet as icicles were falling off the trees. I cannot stand the cold like Eskimo is suggesting though. More of a summer time stop for us. Great view of Whitetail after dark.
Hang Gliding that ridge provides a new perspective on weather. This time of year with snow cover, the air is as smooth as glass with no thermal convection lifting off from below. You stay up by tracking down the ridge in the region where the wind is ascending over the mountain. On a hot, dry August afternoon, air flow over the valley can be more vertical than horizontal thrusting you all the way to cloud base if you circle within a "thermal" core. Yet as evening starts to settle in and shadows grow, you might descend through a boundary where turbulence suddenly disappears and the decoupled air feels still and buoyant as the last heat of the day slowly leaves the ground.

I planted a 20x30 patch of spinach that wound up being too late for a fall harvest but somehow survived through the frost and snow for a tremendous harvest early this spring. Seeds are cheap. Your picture looks great.
