Just under 7 inches in Cary, near Preston. Lost a couple of feet off one cedar tree and two large branches on another.

Not hearing any pings under these heavy returns in Cary. This forecast is definitely busting on the high end.

The convection oriented as it is will actually increases the moisture out ahead of the storm. Dry air is the reason for the lack of qpf.
