    Obviously every storm is different, but is there any source that tracks NWS forecasts (or any outlet's forecast) vs. what happens in reality?

    24 hour Shop Rite in Old Bridge, NJ. I wasn't going to shop yesterday and knew I had to get in early today before it gets super busy again.

    8" in Edison just as sleet had started. Snow started about 4:30-4:45; measurement taken about 1:30...so 8" in 9 hours.

    Not quite 4" of snow in central Edison. Started to get heavy about 20 minutes ago.

    I'm just down the road from Metuchen...I agree with all that. I measured about 1" of snow on my car at 6:35. I went to Shop Rite and by the time I got back my footprints were almost buried. Probably at 1.5-1.75" right now.

    9.25" in central Edison. 8" of that fell from the start to 3:30AM which I suppose is about 3 to 3.5 hours.

    I would have been happy with 4" in Middlesex County. I randomly woke up at 3:30 and looked at the window and thought that's 8" of snow on my car. I went to the car to get my snowbrush and boots and sure enough 8" and no sign of slowing down. I'll take it as a token of the snow gods' repentance for the past few years. My mom has zilch 25 miles away.
