The cold was overdone for this timeframe last week. The next wave is probably overdone also. We are running out of time the further south we are.

My dormant Bermuda grass on the sunny side of my house is not so dormant. Soil temps there 64 degrees!

Why not? I have lived through many 24+ inch snowstorms on LI. The NE is due.

Definitely could see VA and Western NC cashing in on some sort of snowfall.

Definitely trending warmer, along with being further out. Odds are slipping away. The extreme cold looks like a fantasy at this point, and whatever cold we do get, is barely cold, and out quickly.

Well, I guess i misspoke, what i meant is the AI is overdoing the cold. But yes, cant rule it out completely. Shot in the dark.

Its on its own island right now. Winter is over for most, other than the mountains.

Wow!!! 72 currently. No below freezing temps in sight for at least 2 weeks. One extreme to the next.

Looks like a normal winter pattern these days. Warm, a quick shot of cold, then back to warm.

Absolutely agree! I'm sure we will get a cold day or 2 thrown in, but February will overall be warm. I'm ok with that, January was a fun run, time for spring!

Good point. I do see some here wishing for something that just doesn't look feasible. February is absolutely going to be warm.

I'm thinking they mean the winter we have all had so far. We will be back to a more normal winter. Lots of average temp days, with a few quick cold shots thrown in here and their. Pretty sure we are done with snow and ice events.

Speaking of thaw....we hit 56 today. 60's this week. Bring it!

Not much to look at. Looks like a quick shot of slightly below normal.

Plenty of time for things to change, but this is looking like an ice nightmare at this point. There is some SERIOUS cold in the NE at this time, bleeding down south. I would rather have plain ole rain instead of ice.
