All seriousness ... ( and tedium ), it's a nice out there today.

70 here.  I'm noticing that the CU trajectory and the llw wind is actually more NE were I am here in N . Middlesex in east central Mass.  That's technically not a marine flow here.  With sat presentation showing only micro fluffies getting in the way of the sun, we're probably going to be just fine this mid day.  Maybe the s-breeze mechanics overwhelm late in the day.

I also noticed the 12z NAM is a little better for Sunday. It's probably going to be cooler coast, warmer deep interior type thing.  Could see that being 63 here and 53 at Logan.  ...75 in ALB.   With sun around.  That's a better scenario than prior run.

How do you think tomorrow ends up?  Poopie?

Certainly not the 75 to 85 summer pattern some have claimed but it could be worse.

"Mild and mainly dry today with some uncertainty regarding how warm Wednesday will be. Heading into a cloudier and unsettled weather pattern for late in the week into the weekend, as a series of slow-moving upper level disturbances move through Southern New England. While it is not likely to be raining the entire period,at least hit or miss showers can`t be ruled out at any time.Temperatures for late in the week into the weekend trend slightly cooler than normal on high temperatures and milder than normal on the lows.&&

Yup. Theme of the winter continues.

Except for the temps, they really have no idea about the sensible weather though. Weekend could end up being a disaster or serviceable.

  3. Took this with my Pixel 6, but pillars and heavy heavy pink def visible. Did take quite a while for the eyes to adjust. Noticeably better looking W towards Winchendon and the Hubb vs FIT/Leom, would fade between different shades of pink and green.  c1_20240510_22562599.thumb.jpeg.0cc1fd3c3bf595a6b810906fee4a0db6.jpeg

As much as I am dying to get into a weather pattern where we get consistent warmth I think we have quite a bit to go until we get there. We've been in such a shit pattern and its just slowly eroding away, however, its just rotting so we'll left with its dead corpse. There is nothing really driving a change.

Been the theme of our springs for years now. We're piss warm in winter, so the rubber band snaps back in spring.

Glad April is done. Lots of backdoors, wedges, rain, mist, cool days, etc. Also the heavy wet snowstorm early in the month that snapped a bunch of trees. Still looking for the first 70° as well. Maybe someday Greta will end these nasty, raw springs.

May hasn't been much better in recent years
