Lucked out being under that narrow central CT streamer for a while.  Total for the day is 1.75". 8F

Snowing pretty heavily again here all of a sudden.  Looks like a narrow band north of NYC is getting crushed.

Between the two squalls, we got around an inch in 15 minutes.

That was the heaviest snow I've seen since Nemo.  Still heavy snow, but it's lightened up a lot.  Round two incoming looks even more intense.

Think we might be near the northern extent of the IP in VT.  Here in Reading, it started mixing with sleet about 30 minutes ago, but snow is now fighting back.

28F in Middletown.  Any ground truth from the Middletown area?  I'm assuming (and hoping) for sleet vs. ZR.

Observing from Reading, VT, this weekend.  We've had light pixie dust for most of the afternoon/evening that has amounted to about an inch.  It's picked up a little over the past few minutes.  Optimistic for a good snow up this way.  Plan to ski Pico tomorrow.  13F.

That band bisecting Middlesex County won't quit.  Still have moderate snowglobe snow.  The fluff from earlier is settling faster than it's accumulating, though.

Intensity has lightened up a bit, but the western band is actually expanding a bit with the western edge drifting west.

Just measured 7".

Still cranking under that skinny band over central CT.  Very heavy snow at times.

That narrow western band is hanging tough (but by a thread) back here.  Incredible snow-globe dendrites.  Not sure how long it will stay stationary.

MLM has finally moved into Middletown.  Hopefully it sticks around for a bit.

Can't quite get into either the western or eastern band.  Moderate snow on the fringe of the western band.  About 4"

About 1" so far.  Moderate snow with decent growth despite being between bands.  The band to our east seems to be making westward progress.

I don't think it makes a ton of difference in E MA to be honest...it might reduce the chance of mixing with rain on the outer Cape.

Do you think it shifts the western secondary max eastward, or presents more like the rgem/gfs without a secondary max to the west?

This is reminding me of 1/26/11 when the model mayhem was so severe I had no idea what was going to happen.  Meanwhile, it's snowing heavily here and the radar looks pretty great.  Unless the western edge of the radar is about to dry up, it seems to me that the GFS and RGEM have almost busted already.
