  1. 1982 winter had a big 10 day thaw that came in mid February that made it seem spring arrived then had a cold three weeks in March with 7" snow
  2. Painfully boring cold 1981-82 winter continues, and looks to keep keeping on through the next two weeks. 9" snow in Allentown in January 1981 from nickel dimers Time to browse garden seed catalogs and dream of spring
