Ian feeling Cuba big time
Yeah, that’s been apparent for a while. I hope it’s just a temporary pause and we can get a photogenic storm out of it in another 12-18 hours.

yes its having issues, but i credit this more to the topography and the mountains of Cuba vs dry air

Just look at IR the last few frames dude. It’s feeling Cuba. For sure.

Looks like it’s getting squished and interacting with Cuban topography a bit. Dry air lurks next to this new exciting eyewall.
anyone remember when gustav was going to be the apocalypse? Don’t underestimate Cuban land interaction, albeit brief.

Good news is there's a pinhole eye forming. Bad news is it's on Noru
Josh could’ve been in Vietnam instead he is going to hannityland for a dying offshore underachiever.

Anyone have verification scores for the eastern mass wx center? Are they a reputable agency?

I hope Tampa gets crushed. The hubris is just so overwhelming. That said, I was just talking at the sesh about how I’d give it 15% or less if I had to toss out a probability.
-
Many Tampa people rely upon the most ignorant wx lore. I hear so much about shields and mystical barriers coming from that region. They’re gonna get smashed one day and it’ll be hilarious to see all that voodoo stuff debunked.

Same people saying it was ramping up three days ago and two days ago are now noticing it ramping up now

No it's not, lil homie.
What do you mean? It’s not dynamic and is static, based upon track error for the previous 5 years. Every cone this year will be the same, lil homie.

The size of the cone just goes to show how much uncertainty there is with this storm. Will it hit somewhere in Florida, probably but way too early to know where.
The cone is always the same size, lil homie

That’s the silliest wind field I have ever seen at 850

Dude I was just wondering this morning whether you still exist. I hope this storm gives you another paragraph or two of lore.

Would be a fun time on the board if this misses the trough connection and sits in the middle of the gulf for 3 extra days rotting from a 4 to a 1 or 2 before landfall
Someday we will have another Elena 85 and it’s going to be glorious on the internet

I don't mean to downplay the catastrophic flooding that is occuring in Puerto Rico but from an armchair meteorologist perspective, flooding isn't that interesting to me. Hurricanes interest me because of the wind. I eagerly await Josh's videos, but honestly an 85 mph cat 1 strike isn't the most interesting.

Here comes the shrimp storm. Can’t let a year pass without one.
