  1. Thus dies my dream of a Monday virtually teaching in my pajamas from the comfort of my home. Sigh.
  2. But...I was told this was coming. Why would Rjay betray us like this?
  3. For real. Just take it as it comes, don't get too high or low this far out.
  4. Not sure why we are locking in a hit or a miss on Tuesday. Last storm's solutions were far from locked down this far out. Wednesday Eve/Thursday morning is when I'll be reasonably assured that a solution is nearly there.
  5. They absolutely can angle the plow to the left or right, not sure what you're on about...
  6. I will never understand, as someone living in a cul-de-sac with nothing in the center, why plows insist on plowing the snow towards the driveways instead of the empty center island. Baffling.
  7. Winds picking up, south eastern Suffolk County. Sleet whipping against the house.
  8. This is the heaviest sleet I can remember since I was a child in like 1992 I believe? I remember the ice being so thick on the snow top that I could walk on it and push around my big tonka trucks without it sinking down.
  9. Coming down heavy in Suffolk, but hearing a few pings on the window. If this goes to all sleet...boy is that going to be a lot of sleet.
  10. My district already calling a snow day tomorrow. Rare of them to be so early
  11. Should we assume snow will move in quicker than advertised? Feel like that's how it always goes. Trying to decide what time to set an alarm to watch the first flakes fly on the island.
  12. As long as it’s messy enough to close school Monday, I’ll take it. Handicapped, and my snow cleaning crew ain’t digging me out till Monday I’m sure. My town has already canceled garbage pickup Monday as well.
  13. Amazing how 8-12 inches is “not our storm.” Did ya all live through the past few winters? I swear some all timers like Nemo broke people from being able to appreciate big storms.
  14. See where the battleground sets up tomorrow and extrapolate.
