  1. As a hillbilly I can tell you that is spot on. If that attitude is detected there or here for that matter, you’ll immediately become an outcast and will not be liked or tolerated.
  2. I heard a man say once that where he came from there were two kinds of people … hillbillies and son of a bitches. I happen to agree.
  3. Was just looking at the gfs and didn’t see our snowstorm. Where would be the proper place to locate this event?
  4. Yeah there’s lots of varieties. I suspect many have the Virginia species and perhaps some even the southern species.
  5. Yeah you can’t really kill them, just droop em
  6. Basically growing a tree outside of its natural range is the culprit I’d say.
  7. Some genius decided to start a new long range thread. I guess the old was producing too many threats lol
  8. I genuinely feel bad for those that didn’t get to experience that. In all reality it may have been a 1 in a 1000 year storm
  9. @CAPE said it’s gonna snow so I’m feeling good
  10. Build a fence. A good one. Save yourself some heartache. Deer, rabbits and ground hogs have no conscience lol. And other than hot peppers and begonias, in my experience, will eat anything. I built one and sunk 4” pvc into the ground as sleeves so my fence is removable in sections after the growing season.
  11. Lol the only Facebook group I’m in is a Minnesota Vikings fan group. How sad is my life I ask you.
  12. My vote would actually go to April. By then there’s almost zero chance for snow and it can often be cold and miserable. But I could be convinced about August or March as well
  13. And some call this a “science board@ and perhaps for some it is, but it’s predominantly a “winter board”.
  14. I’d be in that boat as well. January was enjoyable here. I think I got maybe 11” mainly from two storms. About 3.5° below normal and snow cover for most of the month. But at the same time December and February were awful, and at about a third of normal snow so there’s no way I could grade this above a D. Yet
  15. Good call on that March ‘93. They’re pretty common, just not our year
  16. Actually my experience is that a snowless (practically) Feb with warm-ish temps are usually followed by cold springs. I have no data to support this, only memories. 2020 and 2009 come to mind.
  17. He’s still lamenting that southern slider that gave him about 6” and then promptly disappeared after he trashed it.
  18. I just go to my attachments and select 20 or so and delete them. It’s not hard
