It’s literally pouring at the end of my block, maybe 1/10 of a mile away. Not a drop here

Same here. Hanging hopes that this is not just a frontal passage, which usually screws us

Today’s PSA: do not walk in 100+ heat index weather when you’re just getting over shingles.

I’m not overly enthused for LI based on radar. Wait and see

I don’t have pics to prove it, but a Suffolk County police friend just told me that parts of sunrise highway are buckling from the heat. In my 56 years, 57 tomorrow, I have never seen or heard of this happening. I’m a closet recluse, so maybe it has happened before. Happy birthday to me! 

Anyone else have cave crickets? They are one of the nastiest insects. They thrive when the humidity rises. Trying to kill them is an adventure. Supposedly they are blind, but hyper sensitive to their surroundings. One defense is when they feel threatened they jump right at you! 

Down to a cool 95 degrees. Time to turn off the AC, and open the windows!
