  1. I really enjoy a nice stiff drink while watching snow TV. The timing of the Ontario snow looks to be very late Christmas Eve through mid morning or so. Not sure to stay up late or just put a little bailey’s in the coffee the next morning.

Unrelated- but I’ll be monitoring the Susquehanna river near Binghamton. Relative warmth plus heavy rain could be interesting.

Mean spread is still all over the place but at least they’re east of NAM or RGEM expect for one lol. All in all, good for the GTA. Let's see if that trend continues tonight.

These are some good trends, considering that yesterday morning I thought we were dead in the water.

Out of this sub forum, but I still monitor the Knoxville TN area. For years those posters would dread this setup. Cold chasing rain never seemed to work out in that valley.

.40 liquid in one hour 1.20 in 6. Even at 10:1 you are talking 4" per hour that hour and 2" per hour in 6 hours. But that is at 10:1. Notice the temp/dew -9c/-11c. You are almost assuredly having higher than 10:1 ratios. Even at 12:1 thats 4.8" and 14.4 in 1/6 hours.

My wife’s family lives in Binghamton. They finished with just over 24 inches. I’m bummed because in a non Covid year I would have been there. I absolutely would have started my holiday a few days early to enjoy that blockbuster storm.

  4. By far my least favourite storm track is a Low moving NW from central Illinois through Central Michigan and continuing NW. All we get is rain, then a backside flurry with the full load of cold air.

You don’t get to enjoy any mild weather without accompanying rain and you get all the cold air without snow as the front passes.

After all the crap Kitchener went thru in the summer its finally winning eh. :lmao:

It was a brutal summer. Precipitation has been steady the last month and a half.

I feel like we just cashed in on one of the top 2-3 snowstorms of the ‘winter’ and couldn’t be happier. This was a perfect snow. Happened on a Sunday. Snowed during the day. Exceeded expectations. Just perfect.
