Not to be argumentative, but it’s been nearly 10F warmer than normal so far. Doesn’t look to change much by the 10th. If it’s +10F on the 10th, it would need to average nearly 5F below normal the rest of the month just to hit normal. So both of those forecasts could be correct.

Our average high this time of year is around 70, This week doesn't really look 10 above average.  And if a majority of them month is below average, in my eyes it's below average, lol.

I doubt it will be three weeks of below average though.  Honestly, they shouldn't even put out those long range predictions, they almost always change.

I’m going to go with August 2025. It’s the month that has gone the longest without being below normal (last time was 2017, which broke a streak of 18 straight above normal months), but it’s going to be a hot summer and won’t happen this year.

A slightly above average summer with below average number of 90 degree days.  That's the theme.

God damnit, we’re going to get screwed out of our warmest first week of March ever because of these damn low clouds keeping us from getting into the upper 50s.

The record will be irrelevant as there’s no chance we’ll have the warmest March anyway.  2012 will stand for a long time.

    2-4” additional!  This is overachieving.

And if we’re looking to long-term snow averages at the end of the decade, we’ll already be replacing the 72.1 of 1992-93 with the 17.6 of 2022-23, and now we might be replacing the 76.8 of 1993-94 with like 12-15” in 2023-24. So that’s like a 4” drop in the calculated normals in and of itself, even if the rest of the decade is similar to its 90s counterparts.

This is assuming we don't have any winters with 60"+ in the coming years, and there is no way of knowing that.  Next year could be the snowiest ever.  It's always possible.

That was theb6z and that was for the PD time frame not next Tuesday. Next Tuesday looks like our max would be a moderate event. Just seems like the storm doesn't get really going until it's east of us.

The point is there’s potential, whether it’s Tuesday or President’s Day the next two weeks should be more interesting.
