Any good historical temp sites to look back at the first two weeks of Sept say from 78-90 to see how it compares to this weeks heat? Just curious; I think so many are acclimated to AC in our cars and houses now vs then….

When it misses to the east, he will say "at least my idea had merit!"
Just a prelude to winter!

94F here, don’t think I will beat the 97F I had in April. We drop below 70 again so nothing FL like….A couple of warm days

Yes it was. The degree days spell it out . We had a 5-6 week period of some of the highest consistent dews our region has ever seen . The fact that June and Aug show pretty blue doesn’t mean it was a cool chilly summer
Dews do not equal hot

Get to play CT National in a few weeks; hopefully a nice day.

88 here, heatwave broken? The unlike FL dews make it feel comfortable with a breeze.

Mid 90s coming up.
I’ll take 90’s if the temps fall back into the low 60’s each night. Not FL like where the low temp stays above 70 from April to November.

Most of the damage I saw in the Pan Handle from Michael was tornado related vs straight line wind damage; so this would make sense.

Wondering when the 1-3” of rain is going to start? .09 since yesterday.

7/10 split this am? The Taunton affect is far reaching.

Looks like where guidance has it 36 hrs ago.
Does this track a little closer to Jacksonville?

Some passing heavier showers so far, but CT currently doing 7/10 split. Will see what happens with the stuff to the west in NYS.

It may not be a sunny aftn, but I think it dries out a bit with the risk of a shwr/tstm along CF.
Looks like tomorrow maybe drier west of RI; sort of reminds me of last Friday minus the severe

Seeing some models dropping 1.5 to 3” amounts, will see if that verifies.

Just storms Sat afternoon
More concerned with Friday; are you saying no rain Friday?
-
Is most of the rain Friday in the morning? Looks like it pushes most through in AM and the mainly showers later Friday into Sat am?

Anyone have the radar loop of this from Scotland to Scituate RI

Just drove into Scotland CT, pure Tor path maybe 75 yds wide, near a 1?
Surprised no one at BOX is looking at the closer; if someone can rewind radar from back Situate RI to see if that Meso went over Scotland. Very windy here prior to the Tor warning in RI.

We had family from Canada over and we rented a house in Chatham. Evacuated that day and were one of the last cars to cross the bridge. Won’t forget that one. Damage in Brockton was terrible, but the cape and islands got crushed.
Long overdue for a Cane here in New England….Lots of tree growth since 91; when we do get one people will be shocked at the damage and expecting power to be back in 4 hours

Shouldn’t do a thing other than cool it off faster.
Then again you could have a spinner laced with asphalt to maximize your damage! Lol
