Would like to see the models starting move next weeks rain a little more south. GFS doesn't want to budge yet, EURO moved a bit south. Plenty of time to go thankfully. I could care less about down here at this point but this has a lot of implications for ski and sled country!

How are conditions at B’East? I was considering going but I can’t imagine it is very good
I think all things considered right now it's very good. They have all of their snowmaking terrain open which is pretty extensive for SNE. There were a couple spots where some dirt and grass are sticking out but nothing crazy. They will turn on the guns tomorrow night and freshen everything up pretty quickly.

That’s the thing, I’m happy with an inch or two here and there but it’s been tough to even get that in the upper CRV this year.
I was out in Charlemont yesterday, not far from Berkshire East and there’s better snow pack in Gardner than there is out on the East Slope of the Berks.
Just a tough year, nothing I can do about it but move forward.Yes snow is going fast out here. Wasn’t much to begin with. Sub par winter all around out here. Today is great skiing though! Yay!

I know we’re all moving on to spring down here! Next weekend looks like it could end up decent for the NNE peeps. Maybe some room to trend for down here.

Our winter forecast had this very early on. Back in November
If we can avoid last years suck fest I’ll be somewhat happy.

Same here, it’s been wintry but you and I and everybody in between Albany and the Connecticut River definitely have been on the short end of snowfall the past few years. I’ve only had four storms above 6 inches in the past three years and the last double digit was December 2020.
Yeah it's been pretty tough. We were fairly lucky with some decent stretches of cold both last February and this January. Hopefully we can get a couple nice SWFE's in February.

I'm just happy with Berkshire East getting a refresher.
Hopefully one of these bands can work its way up there between 11-4. Woods should be decent with even a few inches to warm the top layer of old snow.

Haha 18z GFS screws me on the bomb coastal but turns the cutter into a SWFE. I’ll take it.
That’s a great look for the northern resorts. Like to see it slide a bit more south.

I would be content if we can pull 6" in NW MA, don't care if Ray or whoever gets 26" we just need more snow otg here.
We got pretty lucky up here with the last one. 6” would make for nice skiing!

My apologies if I sound like I am cancelling the storm because I'm not. I'm just cancelling any hope for a KU for WOR, that's all. I believe the last 18+ event for WOR was Feb13. Mar18 may of had a weenie band for extreme WCT that dropped 20" for select locals but WOR as a hole which includes Hippy and the CMA/WMA crew....was Feb13. And let's be honest here, if EMA hasn't seen an 18+ event in 8yrs, there would be an endless amount of keyboard slamming.
We did well in 12/2020 and 12/2019.

If you were spooked by the GFS, shield your eyes from the CMC.
It was over the Cape last night. Awful model.

9 days away but not looking great. I'll take what ever comes. Back to cold after that. I'd love a gradient pattern with a chance for a SWFE. Big bomb coastals need to really hug to get big snows back here.

Please stop bringing that storm up. TIA.
Yeah seriously.

Heavy dusting at my house but it looks like around 2" in Savoy. Very deep winter up there right now.

Dutch Hill was pretty nice on Saturday. Such a great spot for easy backcountry turns. Snow was firm enough to cover most rocks on the lower angle stuff, steeper stuff scraped down to rock in places but not thin. The skiing was better where it had been skied in a little, it made for better coverage. Decently busy but not terrible. I probably won’t go back until they get another 6-8”.

That 6z GFS boldly supports the strong New England ski industry! So far away, wish we could just lock it in.

I was out skiing for the evening and I see the 18z gfs destroys everything. I can’t stop looking at that run.

We have been tho ..heh, some of us. Will...Ray myself.
It's on the table. The 18z GEFs actually has a modest signal trend that's better than 12z.
Looks like a nice refresher for the ski resorts on the 18z GFS. NW mass gets a little bit too.

I’d like to have up north rocking and rolling again when I get back from warming my legs up in Utah! Down here would be a mere bonus.
