Probably going to end up on the low end of the 2-5" but any snow is good snow, with more on the horizon hopefully.

Well, your area to Greenfield has been ok. Further E & W has been better.
Oh we don't get jack for snow here ever. Shelburne Falls is down in a valley as you know. Areas with some elevation around here I'm saying have done much better.

Despite a putrid January we are pretty far above avg for snowfall year to date
Yes true. We had a 8" elevation event out here that seemed like 3 feet but yeah Jan was a bit down.

I kind of like route 2 corridor better than Pike for this one.
Route 2 corridor has done very well this year. Very refreshing.

My 6 year old daughter has been asking about ski racing. She can handle terrain up to diamond level if it is groomed and in decent shape. I can barely catch her at this point. LOL
It looks like most of the official team stuff is for 10 and up. Any idea on options for kids her age to get her started?
Each mountain has a different programs. At Berkshire East where my kids have grown up skiing has the racing development program which starts are 7 or 8. My son as I remember started at age 7. My friend right now has his 8 year old daughter in the program. Not all mountains are the same, Berkshire East has a rich race heritage and starts their programs very young. Other mountains are likely to have some sort of mountain explorers or development club. If you are interested I'd ask around.

Dusting. 22 degrees at the ski hill.

Any bit counts right now. Be nice to see the later week storm produce for the berkshires as well. Not liking the slight southern trend.

tuesday evening? Maybe some turns at lovely Bousquet mountain after work for me!

This is setting up to be one of the better Februarys across all of New England. I feel like Feb has a been a real dud lately. 2015 was 6 years ago!

I skied a pair of 110-115 at a demo day maybe 5 years ago, spring conditions. It was a strange sensation, almost like surfing! But could definitely see how they would be fun. Haven't been out there in probably 7-8 years but always laughed when I walked into a Tahoe ski shop, there wasn't a ski in there less than 100 under foot.
My powder boards are 110 waist I use them few times a year here and up in vermont. I bought them 8 years ago, but they have early rise in the tip and tail and all that jazz. Pretty short turn radius so they rock in the trees. Getting 8 years out of a pair of skis is pretty good investment I'd say. Sierra Trading Post is tempting me to buy Liberty Origin Pros though!

I have not paid attention to this one at all. What does it look like out this way, 2 to 4 inches?
Maybe we can snag 3" of high ratio fluff.

Berkshire East skied great today, made it out for a quick 2 hours after work. This is the best skiing down here since march 2018. It's only going to get better! Amazing how that little 6" cement event 2 weeks ago really made the woods fully game on.

I've been planning on that since Thursday so NBD. Hopefully pull 4-6" here.
Some guys here are freaking out that Berkshire East is getting 10-16"! I've sort of given up trying to explain to people that it sits in a valley with a 500' base elevation. It's not in Savoy. I'd hope for 8".

What a run that was for SVT. I had the flu and other horrible maladies. I heard the skiing was top notch!
