She's not gonna let us out.

EPO reload and the ridge is further east. Not gonna let the weenies end it quickly. She's determined to let us die a slow agonizing death.

In all seriousness, it's a look that can start to produce more coastals. I'm sure many would gladly take one since at this point we're playing for pride and getting our ass kicked isn't much fun.

Ahhh yes, "playing for pride" i know this well, reminds me of my entire Highschool sports career. But, when a blind squirrel found its nut and we found a win, we partied HARD. The same will happen if we pop a coastal, party time.

DT says pattern shift March 1st and cold east in his 3 week forecast on Facebook, but if it doesn't happen, it's science, not him, and he's still in the only meteorologist who can accurately predict the weather out three weeks. Meanwhile, he takes to Twitter simultaneously to point out every other meteorologists "busted" forecast with a barrage of insults.

    So I'm rooting for Morch.

    He is too much sometimes

This Morch may rival that torch one we had in 2011 with 70’s and 80’s much of the time. That was so awesome

I believe that was 2010 you keep referencing. My son was born on the 16th, i picked my wife and him up from the hospital in shorts and tee, was like 80 degrees.

In all reality this winter hasn't been THAT bad.....we had a few storms which were of moderate impact, pretty good cold (enough to ice fish), and the typical warm ups here and there.  Plus NNE has been cashing in, which is good to see as they're supposed to snow.  There's been plenty of worse winters.

I disagree. This winter has been incredibly frustrating. Ill timed shit streaks, ghost NAO, bullshit MJO prognastication, a nino that never was, useless cold, either frozen barren brown earth or flooding rain and mud, every threat going to shite as we close in. I cant remember a winter where the weenies gnashing of teeth has been worse.

  5. What I don’t understand is yesterday when the runs showed that incredible high  strength and position peeps were pretty enthusiastic and seemingly confident, I mean damn, when Ryan starts posting and getting excited it’s a good measure for CT residents to begin to pay attention. Why does one warm run send heads to the Tobin, shouldn’t we at least see what today has to say?

Honestly think this is the start of some really good snows for CNE NNE. We are on the gradient down here with hopes for a coastal or 2. Firmly believe Ray was on to something with the 69 analogy.  Gonna be one of the best March skiing snowmobiling years in recent memory.  Hard to do but IMHO you guys get absolutely smoked here on out.

So basically a continuation of what we’ve had all winter. We get served shit on shingles and up North has Michelin Star chefs plating up masterpieces. I’ll be content with 1 coastal this winter, but gimme a stemwinder, none of this weak sauce shite. I think we can get that done down here.

  7. We can see where early next week is going. Nowhere. Same damn thing all winter, a couple inches of crap, then switch to liquid. AN temps for the 10 days after the “storm”. This winter has been repeated nut punch, uppercut, nut punch, uppercut. Not KU’s, FU’s.

Reno AFD is off the hook

    https://www.wrh.noaa.gov/total_forecast/getprod.php?prod=XXXAFDREV&wfo=REV

major winter storm continues to impact the region through Tuesday: . TRAVEL IS HIGHLY DISCOURAGED IN THE SIERRA LATE THIS EVENING THROUGH MONDAY MORNING. If you risk travel over the Sierra, make sure you are prepared for the very real possibility of getting stranded and/or trapped in your vehicle for a long time. It could be many hours until help may be able to reach you. . Strong winds tonight and Monday morning will create blowing and drifting snow with whiteout conditions in the Sierra and possibly also across much of western NV. . Heavy snow continues Monday night through Tuesday across the region creating continual travel problems. . Monday morning, Monday evening, and Tuesday morning commutes are likely to be very messy,

TONIGHT AND MONDAY MORNING...The cold air moves in this evening as the low pressure moves overhead. The cold front itself will push through the Tahoe/Reno areas between 6PM and 9PM this evening, with snow levels crashing down to valley floors (3500-4000ft after midnight). Heavy snow in the Sierra will increase overnight and into early Monday morning, becoming intense at times with snowfall rates of 3"+ per hour. Strong winds in the Sierra during this time, combined with high snow ratios over 15:1 will create blowing snow, drifting snow and areas of white-out conditions.

Just have to be so freakin careful. Good grade school buddy of mine, an incredible skier, died in an avalanche out west few years back. They are definitely in that eerie, not sure if you’re gonna come home from your session, extreme danger levels with this latest storm.
