Today is what the winter is all about to me. Cold powder falling from the sky, cold stout beer falling down my gullet and playoff football. It just doesnt get a whole lot better than that.

Boom. Just like that the sky opened up and everything caved immediately. The models were fantastic with onset timing.

Yeah. It is right on my doorstep now. Been VERY light snow for a few hours now. Only thing covered is my sons trampoline and the mulch. Real stuff about to happen.

NWS upped my area to 8-12. I would have been perfectly happy with 4. Icing on the cake.

The Euro actually adjusted the precip max pretty close to where the NAM had it. It just isnt as juicy. So happy everyone in the forum has a warning level event to share. It has been a while.

Some reports of flakes making it to the ground in the central Shenandoah Valley. Shouldnt be too long for those of us to the west.

Yep. Very little. Yes. I have to drive in the most hellacious traffic every day for HOURS. But there is a huge benefit to that.

26/11 Just took the dog for a nice long walk. High clouds off in the distance. Stars to the east. But not to the west. It just SMELLS like a snow storm to me. Maybe a placebo effect?
