    The grass is white in Gaithersburg! This is a nice little event considering I haven't been keeping up with this event at all. Beer and snow is sooooo much better than beer and 33 degree rain.

    Dusting on the grass now in Gaithersburg. At this point I refuse to look at models and just live in unfounded optimism believing that it'll stay snow. On another note, man this is a strong system. It's been a long time since we've seen so many tornado warnings with confirmed large tornadoes on the ground.

    Rain/Snow mix in G'burg has switched over to moderate wet snow now. Not sticking to anything but sure does look nice out there!

    The NAMs aren’t bad. Trending a little colder at least. The Baltimore guy claiming it gives him 4” tonight and 5” Sunday must be smoking something good though.

    I don't understand how the NAM 3k total snowfall 10:1 maps look so different on tropical tidbits as opposed to pivotal weather. I assume it's because TT includes sleet and PV doesn't? I know those outputs aren't the most accurate but I still like to look out of curiosity.

    1.6” on top of my car in Gaithersburg. I’m just glad the ground is white, makes Friday feel even better.

    Calling it a night but the sleet has transitioned to all snow. Huge fat flakes in Gaithersburg!

    Eh, that's what we've been saying before every little storm this year. Then the morning of the storm we're all pleasantly surprised and end up with 2-3". I bet this storm will work out the same.

    Getting a little freezing drizzle in Gaithersburg. A few small icicles on leaves and street signs but nothing major. There's actually running water on the edge of the streets where it's melting on the roadways.

    Snow is finally mixing with sleet in Gaithersburg. It's been a fun event, glad I walked around while it was ripping fat flakes. Best snow I've seen since moving here from Bama!

    Been walking around for the last couple hours, it's just amazing out there! Just got back and measured 5" even in Gaithersburg now.

    Wow it's amazing out there! Snowing so hard you can hear the flakes hitting the ground. Measured 2.25" about 10 min ago here in Gaithersburg.

    The snow picked up fast in Gaithersburg. Pouring flakes. Small-medium size but there are a lot of them. Roads/sidewalks covered.

    The latest HRRR really wasn't terrible considering it's literally one run, of course there will be variation so this one 0z run will likely not be close to what actually happens. Even this bad run gave DC 2" of snow and plenty of sleet after that.

    Exactly. Someone may see 6-8 but likely not widespread. Still I'm not sure why some people are throwing around the term "non-event." Seems kinda silly to base your whole attitude towards a storm on a minor snowfall map edit. It's still going to snow, and likely pretty hard.
