68.7 on my tempest right now

Yesterday it topped at 50mph before the power clipped out and the feed dropped. May have been a higher gust. It’s in a relatively good spot but still can be blocked from NW gusts.

Hey all. With all the crazy weather I’m sure like you guys. I’m always the ‘weather guy‘. So I decided to create a mini hyper local weather app. This combines: 1. my house tempest weather direct feed 2. hrrr data from gribstream 3. Google pollen api 4. nexrad level 2 5. open meteo aqi and pmi 6. Rainviewer (regional rain and satellite) 7. NOAA spc meso 8. GOES-East from Iowa state https://scarlett-weather.delightfulplant-db525447.eastus2.azurecontainerapps.io this is super beta and was a fun project with Claude code but I thought you guys would like it. I’ll probably put it on a domain sometime soon. It was really meant for my neighbors but would love weather geek feedback.

I had a 78.1 temperature reading.

So My brother flew to king of Prussia(Philly) for a pa school conference. It’s supposed to be tomorrow all day and leave Monday. I hate trying to make a call for him because he’s asking if he should just hop a morning flight back tomorrow but I feel like at this point. He won’t get out of these until Wednesday otherwise.

My tempest is only -1 right now but predicting -11 by 6am

At springs it’s showing freezing rain on the CC but it’s all snow.

This would align with the colder air that the models weren’t picking up right?

We are about 2-3 degrees colder than the 18z NAM modeled. looking at the hrrr last runs. Every single run was too warm until just before now. All of these are modeling warmer than reality.

For what it’s worth. the 6z NAM had the south hills air temperature at 11 degrees by 1pm. The reality is it was 7.7 degrees.

Latest NAM 3k pushes sleet a little south.

Guys. Has anyone looked at the 10 day temps. It’s not warming up. This snow is going nowhere.

I’m really wondering how things will be here at 7 springs. Such a small microclimate.
