  1. Drizzling here in Ardmore. I’m a little bit cautious of the 5 to 8 inches because I got literally nothing from that coastal on Friday night. Also, this is event is rather short, so there must be an impressive hourly snow rate, right?
  2. Do models take into account Virgo? I'm a newb, I’ve been a lurker of weather forums like this one for the last 15 years. I come back for extreme weather like winter storms and hurricanes. I skim posts and have picked up things over the years. I know much more than the general public, but not enough to contribute to the discussions, hence the lurking. I’m also a male and don’t know why my avatar is a girl lol
  3. Also, surely we’re going to be dealing with 6:1 to 8:1 ratios, which impacts the snow maps pretty drastically. Ugh.
  4. I don’t understand how Ardmore, PA can be under a WSW for 6 to 8 inches, but Philadelphia, PA - which is only 10 miles away - is under a WSW for only 2 to 4 inches. It makes me very nervous. Can someone help this newb out?
  5. I don’t remember the exact time, nor the actual wind speed but a strong gust woke me up this morning and it scared the shit out of me. On a smaller scale, that must be what an F0 tornado feels like. ****ing hell, what a way to wake up!
  6. Ardmore PA (Montgomery County) down graded to a Winter Weather Advisory. What a disgusting winter this has been.
  7. Hahahahaha whoops! I was so excited to relive that memory, that I didn't take the time to read it properly lol
  8. Washington DC : The two back-to-back winter storms in February 6th 2010 & Feb 10th 2010 (dubbed Snowpocalypse & Snowmeggedon). I was a Senior in college in Washington DC during these two blizzards. My college schedule was arranged where I had no classes on either Mondays or Fridays. So when these two blizzards hit the area of downtown Washington DC, the University was closed and how it ended up working out due to my personal schedule, I didn't have any classes for a solid 2 weeks -- I had more time off due to these blizzards than the entire allocation for Spring Break. It was phenomenal. I never saw so much snow in my entire life --- both produced around 20 inches of snow, so when all was said and done there was somewhere between 30 to 40 inches of snow on the ground. It was absolutely incredible to witness. A lot of drinking in celebratory fashion was had. Ah college, good times.
