Don't make me post a meme about how we used to ride in cars without seat belts and in the bed of the pickup truck barefoot on the highway and smoking cigarettes on airplanes and I turned out fine...cuddle up with some bubble wrap ya pansies
And hitchhiking.

Honestly we probably wouldn't want a triple phased bomb anyways...most of the time they are going to cut even more than 1993 did and produce more rain than frozen precip along 95.
We are about 7-8 miles west of I-95 and we had all frozen. Something like 8" snow (iirc wind made it hard to tell), then 3-4" sleet. Guessing that most here would take such a storm again gladly.

Quick review of the new LWX spotter report list suggests all the WSWs verified except southern Harford county in MD.
Do you have a link for that? I find the weather.gov website an incomprehensible mess.

Will southern moco exceed forecast in terms of total snow? Any measurements in Silver Spring area?
We have just over 5" on our deck in the Colesville/Cloverly area of Silver Spring.

A little north of two inches so far here in Colesville, MD. At least that's my less than stellar measurement.
Over 4" here between Colesville and Cloverly. At least on my grill on my deck.

Just took a look around my house in Colesville, MD. There is a coating of slushy stuff on my windshield, my deck, and my lawn right behind the house where it never gets any sun to speak of in winter.

50/41 in Wheaton. I think the last time I anxiously awaited this huge a temp drop was March 1993.
Storm of the Century (aka my daughter's 2nd birthday).

Ok one warning for y'all. Don't make crappy posts like that one that's now gone
I'm expecting liberal amounts of snow here in eastern MoCo.

Dumping here in Colesville, MD. Power is out as well.
Yep, here between Colesville and Cloverly as well. More to come I think based on radar.

I don’t chase snow anymore. I let it chase me.
In city, you track snowstorm. Northwest, snowstorm track you.

Woof. That’s a hell of a cut off as shown on the NAM. Certainly a better look with that hot pink running through my house, but not great for I-95 and the metros. Good news is that guidance has been trending colder / snowier and not Vice versa leading up the storm, so there’s still plenty of time to kick the fall line SE another few ticks.
My background is more paleontology than meteorology, but I always thought the fall line only moves on a geologic time scale.

That was a filthy run for the northern crew down to the ICC. Sweet thump and all snow.
I live a literal stones throw north of the ICC near NH Ave, so I'll hug this run.

Looks like about 3/4 of an inch here in eastern MoCo.

Got up and was surprised to see eastern MoCo under a nice band of moderate snow that looks to have put around an inch of new snow down so far.
-
Just picked up here in Cloverly/Colesville.

Noting light snow that won’t accumulate seems like an observation to me. Should we pick up some rates and this start to look like something legit, I will post it as well.
Yeah, you might score in overtime.

I have a 10am appointment to get a broken tooth dealt with and any more than the 2-4 inches in the official forecast for Colesville, MD and I might have to wait until next week. <4" works for me this time.
