It appears to be turning to rain here. I hope this is temporary.

What’s the warm nose status? Lol. I keep waiting on this to change to rain.

BIG flakes in Athens. Appears to be some mixing.

Very light precipitation in Athens. Appears to be graupel.

Latest HRRR brings the precip a little further south for my area, albeit just a little. I'll take whatever snow I can get.

Not until the center passes, but with this being a weak system not alot to work with on the back side..like Jeff said, start as a quick period of sleet maybe, then cold rain is what I'm looking at.
Womp, womp, wommmmmmmmppppppp!

As far as my area, can confirm the 850s are rising. Valley areas here are sitting around 32, but the mountains are running 35-36 above 1500-2000'
Is there any way the snow breaks through?

Lots of cloud cover here in Athens. Sitting at 31.

Wow, that NAM is NOT good for the valley. Hope that doesn't verify.

Not looking great for my area. We are dangerously close to the cutoff on the 12Z HRRR.
-
Looks like the 6Z GFS is staying south. I hope it’s right and the NAM is wrong!

Nice shift south on 12z NAM 850 entering near Memphis instead of Paducah...should be a decent run
I need it to dip just a BIT further south! McMinn County is dangerously on the edge.

Ended up with about two inches in Athens. We must not have been far from the cutoff. There isn’t much just southwest of here.

HRRR,is not doing a very good job..IMHO.Dont think i'd even look at it now
What’s most reliable at the moment? I’m a novice.

Latest HRRR cut totals in half for McMinn County. I’m ready to have the rug pulled out.
-
Naturally, I fear the valley’s warm nose is going to laugh as the snow approaches. Hope I’m wrong!

These models have to be off….right?

Is the NAM drunk? And the HRRR, too?

Is this the main line blowing through? I’m in southeast TN. Got some scattered clouds here and sunlight. Likes of wind.

The video below shows hail in Johnson City.

Going to be interesting when those cells over north central Alabama meet up with the line. Could be in the valley somewhere.
.What time do you think things will start popping off over this way? It’s been quiet here since sbout 4.
