Dark greens on the radar heading right toward me, only a light snow right now, only getting on roofs

There is a very heavy slug of moisture that is going to lay down some accumulation just south of Chattanooga across Ne Alabama and NW Georgia. What a miserable winter this has been.
Very disappointing

There's around 4 inches going to Pleasant Hill. Crazy. Not bad for 2 hours. Not as much where I live because the band scooter just west
Congrats, enjoy it. 2" per hour??? Man, It really sucks in the valley, even more these days
living here and looking at white grounds on social media is like seeing pics of your hot crush making out with another dude

I truly think there are way more ways for the valley to lose out on snow than Butch Jones/Derek Dooley could lose football games in 100 years
expecting good snow here is like expecting a win when you start JG

It's odd watching flakes blow around while watching a pretty clear sunset

There’s actually some “cell” markers showing up in and around Nashville on radar. Must be some instability helping out.
.I also like how these cells should swing through after the lights go out. It's felt colder than the thermometer has read today, flags have been whipping

I do see flurries in maryville, no rainmix, so that's a good sign

Nice dusting here a few bigger flakes even

I ended up with 2-2.5” but I was on the edge of that heavy band that the HRRR showed. My buddy on the Knox/Loudon line got 4-5”. HRRR did well handling that area.
.Someone on FB from near greenback claimed 6". Probably clumpy grass measurement though but way more than here regardless

Check out the NW flow coming in

I finally got under that second band and it's not living up to radar expectations relative to the previous one. Tiny flake flizzard stuff but can't complain. With minimal cold air to deal with this has been a win. I expect roads to not be that bad in Knoxville proper tomorrow. Side roads, all bets are off. It's pretty out!
Yeah, true. CAD and 534 in Detroit, lucky we got the grass covered all things considered

Looking at that long term pattern though.. . I'm going bold. I want a foot total before Feb

We now have 4 inches in Lenoir City and it’s still coming down!! This system is a win!! It’s definitely preformed much better than I thought it would and hopefully this is a start of a very exciting couple of weeks!!
I thought you were probably getting pounded with that band. 2 on grass here, but shave some off to be accurate. Slushy roads, travel not great apparently. Strong winds and some fine powder blowing around. It might be a skating rink tomorrow on the places they don't salt

I think we picked up a wet inch

Which part of maryville? Is it picking up again?

That band looks to be stalling, ouch

My unofficial measurement is about an inch and a half on the ground and cars here south of Cedar Bluff. Even in between these bands it's coming down moderately with smaller flakes. Really covering the asphalt now. This next band looks to be even more fun. I'm pleasantly surprised, I did not expect this here.
Yep, streets fully white now, and we're going through a lull atm also

Rates picking up for sure, not sure if I'm in the peak of the band yet, probably a few mins away. You all in it right now seem like it's pretty intense

Excited for this band just to the west

Looks like its wrapping around nicely

Problem here all day has just been rates.. finally I m looking out the window and seeing clumps again

I'm beginning to think snow dances work... but it would all of us.. we head outside do synchronized dance moves and what would happen is it would alter fate and energy + therefore guiding the storm and swinging snow back over the Apps. I'm not sure if you can do a cold dance though.

Eastern Blount is starting to fill back in.
We're running out of time. Felt great with the changeover at noon, then dry for 2+ hrs now
