Latest Graf is not good for Richmond. MAYBE 1.5.

The dry slot will fill in. The issue is that this is a fast moving system. We need every bit of precip we can get. The longer the Virga the lower the totals. I’m now leaning on 1-2 for Richmond max.

Getting very skeptical. Not being a downer but here in Richmond we will be lucky for 6 hours of snow. It really needs to get going.

Also single rich woman town. A snow town you could also call it.

We need this stuff to start falling soon. Window is very short.

Go to NBC12 and look at their live radar. After that click the future option they use the GRAF.

GRAF extending heavy bands up into Richmond.

I’m trying my best but I’m already dead tired. Waking up at 4-5 is no joke some days.

I still think those heavier bands are gonna push more north than expected.

Gonna say Richmond gets roughly 3” with spots up to 4-5”. That’s my call. I’ll report back at 7 am.

We’re still looking at 2-6 inches.

Stick by the HRRR and GRAF for this one. Until crazy noticeable changes happen on all models no need to worry.

December 2018. Man what dark time in my life. My ex fiancé cheated and left two months prior but I remember that storm being one of the few things that brought my happiness at that time. Now I’m married for 3 years with a 2 year old living in my own home. I can’t wait for him to see his first snow that’s not an icy mess like last weekend.

I just texted RIC the same thing about 20 mins ago. I expect the snow to start falling between 4-6 pm in Richmond. The last storm also started earlier than projected.

I’d say the EURO is the outlier. I’m leaning more towards the GRAF. I know you asked him for his opinion. I know him pretty well. He will likely say 2-4” for metro RIC with pockets of 5” to the SE side of the city. Now, to the Hampton Roads area I would expect 2-3 inches with locally up to 4” depending on the track of the heavier bands. Let me know if I’m wrong RIC. Appreciate everything you do. (I’m not discounting the Euro but LR models like the GFS/Euro are pretty much pointless now). HRRR, NAM, GRAF, etc are all pretty much aligned) let’s hope for a good good good only snow event for our area. We need it and deserve it.

I woke up at 4am for work and gurgled an entire mouthful of water from the tap completely forgetting about the situation… it sucks but at least where I’m at there’s running water. It’s wild how poor our infrastructure is.

We’re excited for this one down in Richmond. We know it won’t be major (at least not as models are showing) but we can sigh a relief of fresh air knowing it’ll be likely all snow and none of the mixed crap we’ve been getting lately.
